when it hits u....

it REALLY hits u....

what i'm talking is about reality... yes.. REALITY.... in life u have so much to do.. first it was form 5 exams to worry about then it came to choosing colleges and passing the exams.... after that was the choice of working or doing your degree.. and when u decide to do your degree there's the THESIS to worry about... with all this happening, u don't realise how many years has gone by... and now that u have graduated, there's the whole world of jobs and trying to get a good one for starters..... and when u DO get a job.. being on contract or not... u get news from your best friend that she has gotten engaged....

THAT is when reality hits u....!!!!!

the reality, is that u ARE working... and when u are working, it means u ARE old enough to be more responsible and matured.... u are NOT in that phase anymore where u are fooling around classes, parent's money, wasting time, sleeping the whole day or just lazying around...

and with this news... it got to me.. it got to me that i'm no more that college-happy-go-lucky girl where there's nothing important to worry about.... but am someone who's old enough to be in a stable job AND get married (but i may not be ready to get married - just old enough)... i am so happy for her.... happy that she found the love of her life and that there's something good going on for her.... having had her in my form 5 class and that i was really close to her after high school hadn't made me realised that we have grown up.... i can't believe that someone who i call my best friend is actually getting married!!!! just can't believe it!!! :)

was talking to mum bout it and said that i shouldn't be in a shock... cause that's the age my mum got married..!!! yes, i know some school friends who have gotten married after they left school because of "accidents" and also some who has just recently gotten married but that never effected me because i bearly knew them (and i wasn't invited.. hehehe) but this girl.... this girl was my mate, my sister, my friend and now she's gotten engaged... and that's something new for me... am still in shock (shock in a good way) and will take some time to get used to it....

Even though we weren't close in high school, but i remember we had great laughs in class.. and when high school was over, somehow we became closer and had similar experiences as time went by.... and when college were over and jobs came into our lives we weren't as close before but i believe that we still have that memory of our closeness and that we still understand each other.

I'm so glad that u've found someone who understands u and loves u alot. I'm so happy and proud to hear of your recent engagement and i wish u all the best in your future... LOVE U LOTS girl!!
