News from China Daily

not actually daily la, but got some news from the China man (jess, dun laugh k!.. i know why u're laughing.. heheheh).. so here are some excerpts from the journalist...

...they go like "woi woi!!" over the phone when someone calls...

...they dun use water in toilet here, only toilet paper, they are REALLY REALLY saving on power and water, seems like a big thing, everywhere's dark and dim at night, and everything to eat here's like spicy/hot/dried/preserved and insides of animals...

...there's a plenty of plantations, farming cultures...

....they aren't really good with the national language(mandarin) they speak "sze chuan" dialect...

...its a beautiful place, beautiful to the soul and mind, some of god's best works here, the mountains, the subtle skies, the lakes and rivers, they are cleaner , but quite polluted too i guess...

so there u go, some insights of Sze Chuan from a Malaysian China man... hehehe...

stoned

no i'm not drunk... but my body aches and i slept late making a photo pocket book (by Pixart)... so
sleeping late + getting up early = stoned
but it's so much fun doing it!

so i've decided to make one book for myself, since they have a 20% discount till the 30th of this month, why not... got my dad to pay for it, i where got credit card? of course i'll pay him back. i was up finding for good pics, lost afew damn!! can't seem to find where i put it, so i had to used the modified ones... sigh.... only for some la...

it's 12 pages, back and front.. average bout 3 pics per page though some i made it one full picture and some has 4 pictures... though i can't fill ALL my pics in the book.. but this photobook is basically my favs....

hopefully i'll come by next week, they did say 5 working days... so let see how good the book is (i'm sure it is cause there are alot of ppl commented positively and pro-bloggers are all thumbs up for it)... i can't wait!!!

sigh.. i'm still stoned...

china man

hahah so he has landed in china.... and from now onwards i'll call him the china man! he called me when he reached... but i had calls so couldn't really speak to him... it was a 4 hr flight and said it was on a small plane... so no jet plane.... he will be meeting up his old friend whom he met in KL but is now back to his country - china duhh. i'm sure he'll be very happy.. they were very close... (that didn't sound right, isn't it? hahah i'll leave it...)
so anyway, i'm sure the wedding's to be either tomorrow or sat.. cause they'll be leaving on sunday....
friends were telling me to tell him to get me silk clothes... does china really relate to silk.. that much? i think so too, but now adays, where got ppl wear silk? i think it's hot (as in warm..) to wear silk here in malaysia...
just hope that my china man won't come back more cina-fied than he already is.... :P

Rasa Sayang

The Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa will be opening tomorrow.... from the limited pics i saw online and in the newspaper, it's really highclass!! even the room rates are much higher than before and i don't think i'll ever get the chance to step in the resort.... hahahha... unless i have my honeymoon there la!!! oh well....
so this place will be one of the grand high class hotels .. oppss sorry... resort in Penang... or shall i say, the ONLY high class resort in penang.... and i'm sure there'll be lots of VVIPS coming to penang.... maybe they'll have an international concert here and the artists will stay in Rasa Sayang.. cool uh...
*dreaming*
but too bad, Penang waters are not can-see-feet water standard.. spoil only...

on a jet plane....

not me but him, he's (right now) on the plane going to China....
but dun worry, he'll be back by sunday night... wonder if it's wise to meet him at the airport... he'll be with his family and they'll go back home after that....
hmm.....

of tv shows..

i came home extremely early yesterday, 6.45pm! and i finish work at 6pm! record wei!! ahahahah... yea there was the usual cars on the road but everyone was moving... the SAME pace.. so that was good....

it's been a very long time since i came home early... and not do anything... can't really go online, cause now dad hogs the pc.. he has his chess games going on at that particular time....

had dinner early and it was TV time!! yeah!!! watched Grey's Anatomy then Alias! OMG i haven't seen Alias for sooo damn long!!! i was eager to see what has happend and it looked like Sydney and Vaughn got engaged and was going for a hol... so sweet... then the action begins, she's pregnant, he's a double agent and the SHOCKINGLY sad part was that he got shot and died... slowly.. in the hospital!!! soi man!!!! i mean... after so long i didn't watch Alias, this time i watched it, it's so depressing.... the guy must die... it was so BLOODY SAD man!! sigh... so depressing.... it's like.. they were to get married... they were to have a baby.. and they were so good together....

WHY!!!! oohh WHY must Vaughn DIE????!!!!!

i think i better try to stop making tv shows so personal... no life..

Selamat Berpuasa!

so the fasting month has arrived and the traffic jam has increased too!! and this will last for a month.... sigh... anyway, i'm sure the stalls at the masjid in Bayan Baru is opened with LOADS of LOVELY foods... don't know when i'll get the chance to go.. most prob when i work weekends, i finish work earlier...
gosh!! i miss the lemang, the nasi tomato, the roti jala (i know my mum makes it but still..) the kuihs, roast chicken and all sorts of other foods....
*feeling hungry already*

what do u say?

when you sneeze, what do you say after that?
"Excuse me"
right?
my colleague says wat u know!!!
"Bless Me"
O_o sheesh!!!!! LOL

nightmares!!!

OMG.... it felt so real!!! i never had a dream like this before....
it's about me... seeing ghosts!!! eeee.. like the one's in Japanese horror flicks... horrible ones... and not to say in a weird place that i don't recognize.. it's in my neighbourhood!!! not in my hse though but just outside my hse, my neighbours place... the roads around my hse and taman... even the shops nearby.... scary.....
i was going to get my hair done for some event (it felt like a wedding) and at the same time it was raining, in the dream, getting the hair done will take 10 mins max (how also i dunno) so i got my dad to drive me to the nearby hair saloon to drop me (so that i didn't have to park) and dad would wait for me in the car....
but on the way to the shops i kept seeing these things on the road... and i was too scared to go to the shop.... there was one face just appeared in front of me... i freaked out like mad!! but the funny thing is, it seems my dad knew bout this but wasn't that bothered... in the end we turned around...
so on the way home, my neighbour had some ceremony with the chinese monks going on... and i presume it was "chasing away ghosts" type of ceremony.. because they had a LCD screen above their porch showing the ghostly face that appeared in front of me!!! (unbelievable right? it's a dream!!) and i quickly went in the hse.....
it was raining btw..
when i got in.. i dunno why, mum had her christmas decorations in the hall... starting to decorate the house.... (SUPER WEIRD!!!) she asked me what was wrong, i showed her the figure that was hanging around on the road outside the house... and u know what she just said? "oh..." and she went back to her decorations...
like WTF wei!!!....
then suddenly i was in bed.... saying my Our Father's and Hail Mary's..... scared...
then my alarm rang.... and i'm so bloody sleepy and tired now!

thank you!!!

my lil Ah Ma here made a nice surprise meet-up for me!!! i knew she wanted to belanja me for my birthday but never thought she'd make it a surprise with other dugong friends around!

we were to have dinner at Fish & Co, and suddenly someone closed my eyes from behind... hahhha.... i didn't want to make long list of guesses.. pai seh standing there in front of everybody... i said dunno la... and it was CYNTHIA!!! Aunty Dugong!! hahahah what a nice surprise!!! it's been since like what... i dare say, since christmas i haven't seen her...? so it was nice meeting up with her and doing the usual catching up...

after that, we wanted to watch a movie with the other 2 missing dugongs but the movie times were too late for us.... so we met up (with Cher and Ed) at Coffee Bean, i tried their new honeydew drink first half of the drink was wonderful but the second half, hard to finish, it was rich, creamy and felt jelak... but i somehow finished it... don't think i'll drink that again... anyway, one our friend here, got a new job and it's good to hear that he's loving it (McD) and is having a good time there.... that's the main point isn't it? to get a job u like and comfortable with... good for u ed!!
the two love birds went for their movie and the 3 girls stayed back at Coffee Beans to chat... chat till drinks finished, eyes cannot open and mouth can't stop yawning.. then we headed home...
it was a nice outing for me... and i really appreciate it ros.. thanks for doing that for me!

*muacks*

to belong

it's nice when u hear someone telling u that they feel happy, comfortable and feel like family when they are around u...
that was wat Pauline told the three of us at lunch... she said, she feels so much at home and she didn't need to bother on what to wear, or how she looked and behave when she was with us... it's hard to live in KL, u got to look "in", u got to wear the proper clothers, "act" like it if not, u won't belong...
it was so touching that she said that, i nearly shed a tear...
so Pauline, u'll always be "in" with us, whether u're just wearing shorts and a kiddie t-shirt or slacks with a nice blouse, make up or not, bad hair day or not... and we do too, feel belong when u're around... so dun worry....
:)

FRIDAY - afternoon

friday came at last!!!! Nooreen came to fetch me at my godma's hse at TTDI, went to take her "MC" and headed off to KL Sentral... there, we met Thi for lunch... didn't know where to meet or what to eat, we ended up at McDs (remember, we're on a budget)... it was nice that we're nearly there in getting the group together...
were keeping in touch with Pauline, HOPING that she'll meet us SOON!!! but while at it, we just go on with our original plans....
the museum was first on the list, but according to the so-called-map that we had, the Istana was a better place to go first... we managed to find the place.. though it was always on the other side of the road and had to find a way to make a U-turn back on the same road... it's not that easy in KL i tell u...
when we reached there, there was a tourist bus that was there too, so there were so many Japanese and whites there taking pics and "harrasing" the horses and guards.... we managed to take some pics trying not to have the other ppl in it... it's sort of the same "type" as the ones at Buckingham Palace (though i've never been there before)... ppl taking pics with the guard, horse and gate... hahahahah.. that sounded ... err.. sad...

somehow i find it fun.... having the girls with me doing weird things... we could EASILY go shopping in KL but NOOOooooo me and my very creative mind, wanted to do other things...

then, we headed to the museum, that too was abit tricky, finding the correct road to be on.. and again, the museum was on the opposite side of the road.. somehow... hehehehe... found it and it was drizzling!!! damn.. but not that heavy which is good....
entrance fee was RM2.... the first area was on the different types of races we have in Malaysia.... zzzz... then the lobby had an exhibition on Merdeka... of what the country went through.... so so la... then the 3rd part was on the different traditions of the different races here in Malaysia.. can say interesting, as i didn't know there was so many types of wayang kulit!!! even the chinese has their own!!!....
but what i wanted to see was the exhibition on weird animals, bones and such.... but we came to find out that the top floor was closed.. till January 2007!!! SAD MAN!!!! that was the reason i wanted to go there... but the damn floor was closed... sigh.....

while hanging out outside the museum.. didn't know what to do, we saw the Perak Man exhibition.. so why not... we went in and it was dark... they were trying to make it eerie for us... they showed on how the exploration was started and when and how they found the bones... how was it found and such... so so la....
then another part there was another exhibition on wreakages.... of things found in different ship wreakages... quite interesting.. especially when they exhibit something they didn't know what was it and put it as "unidentified find"... hahahhahaha... that was entertaining...
hmm... wonder if the museum in penang would be better...

still Pauline couldn't meet up with us... sad la u woman!... so the next stop was the KL tower... i remember the tower being near the pudu bus station.... but didn't know the "entrance" to the tower.. so we headed there and hoped there was some sign board... we managed to find it....
was surprised that there were so many cars.... and BUSES!!! omg.. the kids!!! managed to find some parking (hardly) and headed to the tower... there was an extreme outdoor ride... can't remember what's it called but 2 ppl sit in this ball and it's like a catapult... u'll be thrown off to air but it's stuck to like a rubber band.. which means u'll be going up and down, goining upside down... like a ball.... interesting.... Era.fm was there.. so there was quite a crowd.. and also on sat there will be a Thirst Party up the tower.. so lots of ppl are there preparing for it....
when we got to the counter, we saw it was RM20 per person.. the guy asked where we were from, we said PENANG... and he took our ICs.. for what i don't know.... in the end, we paid him RM10 each... how come? we also dunno hahahahah.......
there was a long line to the lifts... because of the kids.. their school trip.. i was like damn.... we went behind the line and the staff was sort of laughing at us.. they called us to the front and said that there was a different line for the kids!!! the maulation i tell u!!! hahahahah..... in no time we were up there!! sadly it was hazy... quite bad actually... but still managed la to see some familiar places... very fast we made a round.. or two.. hahahah

mighty woman holding the twin towers on her palm...

another one!!

this one better, she's holding it upright!!! so the strong la!!

the 3 mighty women!
after the tower, we decided to head back to Thi's sisters place in Brickfields.. to rest and get ready for the big makan.... i had a snack at the tower... a very $$ waffle... 3 bucks man!!! i can easily get one here in Megamall for RM1.20... sigh..... what to do... KL wat....

FRIDAY - night

came the time to get ready, Pauline came to the house, knowing she had a rehearsal to go to at THAT moment, but she decided to see us instead!! YEAY!!!!

but for that, we had to follow her to the rehearsal just down the road (YMCA) where we were - in Brickfields. it was a play played by the deaf and she was to translate a character to the listening audience...

so for about 40 mins or so, we headed to Chillies!! in BANGSAR!! it was my first time to that outlet... heheheh i've been to the one in KLCC, MidValley and now in Bangsar Shopping Complex... did i miss any out? dun worry i'll sure to go...

so this was taken in the car, Nooreen couldn't look at the camera, the lights turned green so she had to start driving!!.. i thought it was a good shot! i LOVE it!! everyone was looking very relaxed and HAPPY.. that's the point... being HAPPY!!!

so at Chillies, we had to wait (as usual) and while waiting we took some pics... we're so camwhoring!! i think the flag was for merdeka and they were too lazy to take it down... but what the heck.. CBM Boleh!!!!

went in to have a sit and to decide what to eat, Thi haven't really eaten in Chillies before so Pauline was telling both Thi and Nooreen wat was good to eat.... heheheh... i was still contemplating on my decision.... they had some special going on (u can see the menu posed by Nooreen) but it was the normal meals...

i finally got to try the FAMOUS Chillies TRIPLE-PLAY!!.. damn... the chick wings were good!! that's what i called BBQ man!!!! (ros... u know how i'll go when i take my first bite!... yes, i did that when i tried it...) damn shiok man....
the pic below shows the food we had, i had the steak, top left was Thi's (and Pauline's) BBQ chicken) and bottom left was Nooreen's chick pasta (can't remember the name) and of course in the middle was the triple-play! and since i seludup-ed in my Dubai Vodka Mandarin in, i had orange juice and Pauline had ice-lemon tea, Thi had her own alcholic drink - some strawberry drink.... Pauline and i in the end had scredrivers and long island teas!! hahahahha...... i still can't believe it i seludup-ed in alcohol!!!!

these girls ah... surprised me..... somehow towards the end of the meal.... they got the guys at Chillies to sing Happy Birthday to me, with a plate of ice-cream and brownie!!! wonderful!! love brownies!! the funny thing is that from the time we entered Chillies, till they sang to ME, we heard about 5 times these waiters sang Happy Birthday!! there were so many patrons celebrating someones birthday at Chillies... hahaha of course la.. it's a great place to be.....
i'm so touch girls, for doing this for me... :) there was even a candle for me!!! nice nice!!! (i didn't have a cake last year....)

we had the whole night there... talking from good ol school times, to boyfriends (depressing topic) to about getting married... "who would u marry, someone u love but can't really support u, or someone who has everything and enough to take care of you your whole life?" or "who would u marry, someone you love more than he loves you or someone who loves you MORE than you love him?" .... deep discussions uh? but it didn't go long, it became very frustrating so in the end we talked bout something else.... more... happier topics.. we caught up with each other lives, on work and dreams... which was nice.... and when our 3 over alcoholic drinks were done, we got home..... went home with full stomachs and painful gutts (from laughing so much!!)

SATURDAY

so on saturday, we got up a bit later than planned.... went to Pauline's place to pick up somethings and headed for brunch... since it's too late for breakfast and too early for lunch, and since we didn't really want to eat at Sunway Lagoon, we decided to have brunch. we had sort of nasi kandar type of food at Pantai Hillpark, near her place... ok la... can't complain and it's edible.. heheh
we headed towards Sunway after that.... managed to get parking at the Sunway Piramid. it seems they were having some renovation towards the Sunway Lagoon entrance, so we sort of have to walk on this zink path way that overlooks the theme park.. lovely view, but not so lovely for ppl how can't stand heights...
we got our wrists bands... i was like a small girl walking in... eyes big big looking around, looking at the place.... i've always wanted to go for so damn long, but never had the chance.... so further down, there was a huge cave/cage like place..... and there were 2 tigers in it!!! one was sleeping at a corner and once was walking around. managed to get a shot of it.... the tiger was lovely!! had a nice coat of fur... it was huge.... nice looking one... doesn't look sick or skinny or dirty... good upkeep...

we got a locker to keep our things and we headed towards the Dry Park area before we got wet! hahhaha... fun rides!!! i felt like a lil girl again!!... could take pics as the camera was in the locker and it would be ma fun to bring it around....
then after that we changed to our "wet clothes" and started with the Wet Park... there were different slides, rides and the Wave Pool where there was a DJ playing club songs!!! so the happening man!!! the wave pool was packed with ppl.... it's a good thing all of us could sort of swim, so we headed towards the deeper end - away from pesky kids... the waves were wonderful and predictable hehhehe.... we were dancing in the water with the music.... what an experience.... then it started to rain!!! (there goes my bakaring for the day...) but we still didn't budge... it made no sense to leave just because it rained - cause we were already wet!!!!
hahahh by the time we decided to leave and have a bath and change, the night was coming and there were very few ppl left.... so we got ready and went for dinner.... had no idea what to eat...

panoramic pic of the view

so in the end we ended up at Mr. Teppanyaki.. since it was near the parking entrance and we had no energy to walk around Sunway Piramid!! hhahaha... we thought we could make it for the theatre play but we couldn't. the show starts at 8.30 but it seems the tickets will only be sold till 7.45... so by the time we finished our dinner, it was 7pm.. where can go back to Brickfields, change and go to Sentul for the play in 45mins? so we had to cancel that plan... we just hung out abit at Mr. Teppanyaki... catching our breaths... yea we ate fast.. thought we could be on time...

we decided to catch a movie then... we all wanted girl-power type of movie or even comedy.. we didn't want depressing ones, cause we all had enough of depressing moments in our life... no decision was made, we couldn't make up our minds... in the end, we got home some ice-cream and brownies (from Secret Recipie) and waffles from a waffle shop and i had my Baskin & Robbins milk shake (which is equivalent to 3 scoops of ice-cream mind you!!!!) and we headed back to Pauline's place cause she has a VERY huge collection of DVDs.... so it was appropriate place to go for a movie (and, there was no one home...)
we got to her house, before we did anything, we started our budget, calculating who owes who for what... very serious moment... hehehe.. Thi started of calculating...
Pauline ironicly pointed out that out of 4 of us, 3 of us were in accounts class and Thi (who was in the Sc stream) was doing the accounts and budget!! hahahahh weird right?!
so we all had our money out, hp calculators, papers and pen.. like we're playing Monopoly (money) + Scrabble (paper and pen)!!!!...first it was me settling my share of dept, then it was Nooreen, when she was done, it was the final game, between Thi and Pauline.. hahah it was so funny!!! but fortunately so in the end, we ended up paying less than what we budgeted 2 weeks before and everyone went back with a lil bit more... :)

when the budget game was over, we took out our food (i didn't have any cause i had a very filling milkshake) and we watched, The Sweetest Thing... (see, a chick movie) and had another movie, Rumour has it... but half way through the movie, Nooreen and Pauline passed out sleeping.. hahah left me and Thi...
by the time we got back to Brickfields, it was 2 something and we all slept at 3am... this time Pauline was not with us, she had work (not work, but voluntary/charity event)on sunday... was sad that she left but it was good that she managed to join us for the whole of saturday....
