bday dinner...

yesterday was wonderful, went for a dinner with my fellow Dugongs and did some catching up. we went to the Pizza Hut at Tesco and somehow the service was not too impressive, since there were 6 of us and that orders were confusing the waiter... long story short, we ended up with a free "large platter"... and wasn't that great!!!! heheheheh...

with full stomachs.... we had a slow walk around Tesco looking for the Walls Mini ice-creams.. managed to find them... it's like sooo small!!... mum managed to get some few days before and i tried them.. it's the same ice-cream but it's way way much smaller.... took a pic to show how small it is..... small right?

then we headed to the beach... most of us were tired from work and didn't want to drive so far... to instead to the beach at Tanjung Bungah... we ended up at the "Seagate" beach..... it was the first for the dugongs to hang out there together... guess there's always the first time..... sat on the mat.. took some pics... looking at the full moon and clear skies... chit chatted.... lovely time..... then by 1am or so.... we headed to Ah Kong's house.... just to hang abit...... and i came home....

and WHEN i came home.... I SAW MY SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!! yeay!!!!!!!!!! it's a LOVELY LOVELY bunch of roses!!!! i LIKE!!!! and had to take pics of myself with it!!!! thank you so much!! though its one day late....

THANK YOU BABY!!!!! i love u sooooo much!!!!! muacks muacks muacks!!!!!

surprise

is it a surprise when u know there's something coming for u but still don't know what?

well that's what is happening.... i know my baby was "planning" to give me a surprise at the office and i knew bout it.. i told him not to bring it to the office but to the hse... and... when i got back.. it wasn't there... (whatever it is)....

hahaha.. the funny thing.. when i spoke to him on the phone... i told him to fire his delivery guy cause i also knew who was the delivery guy!!! ahahahah..... and today, my mum sms-ed me and told me that it's there... being a good sport.. she didn't tell me what it is.. but then i have an idea of what it is....

so... is it a surprise if u know who's it from, when it's coming and even know WHO is sending?? but then the bottom line not know what it is? (though i think i know...)... funny aint it???

looks like my baby got to learn from the dugong's in making "surprises" ahahahahah.... i think when the time is right, i make better surprises than him!!! hahahahah..... sorry baby!!!!

so tonight, i'm going out with the dugongs.... going to eat PIZZA HUT...!!! yummy... gonna get the 3-cheese-flavor one.... i know the Ah Ma like...... (right or not Ah Ma???hehehe) and after that.. see la... maybe to the beach... or somewhere else where we can lepak.. chitchat...

can't wait actually... haven't been out since i started working.. well i have.. but to eat cake with Sharon and chit chatted.. and that was about it.... hahahah the dugongs have been asking me what i want for my birthday... ahaha i'm like speechless.. i don't know what i want!!! i haven't been "window" shopping.. so i wouldn't know what's out there.... oh well... it's ok.. anything will do.... it's the thought that counts right??? ;)

it's 4.20pm.. and i only finish at 6pm!!!!! si-en lo.......... sigh...... if i have no plans after work.. i wouldn't be so si-en... but now i know got "par-tay" after work.. i can't wait to finish work... hehehe.....

my work-mate here is working sat and sun but she got plans on sat... poor thing can't find replacement... would like to help her but i'm working on sun.. and tonight sure to stay out late.... hmm.......

last night at the seafood dinner..... dad had some beers.... 1 large SKOL at first... then in the middle of the meal, he wanted another beer.... so... what he did was....

dad: call the girl.... (what he meant was the girl who was wearing carlsberg outfit)

me: couldn't find anyone who was nearby

dad: (finaly saw someone and waved for him to come to our table and when he came, my dad pointed to the girl...) beer eh char bor.....

man: calsbeg eh?

dad: ya ya....

me: papa!!! why u say "beer eh char bor"

and all of us started laughing..... beer eh char bor.... who on earth says that!!! hahahah i know he was trying to translate "beer girl" to hokkien....

seafood... yea.......

found out that i had no plans with friends yesterday for my birthday so i decided to go to dinner with dad... he WAS saying that he wanted to go out for dinner... so we shall go....

then was thinking.... where the hell to go?? there is NOTHING to eat in prai/butterworth/bm... i mean there is like Secret Recipie, Pizza Hut and hotel food.. but... had pizza for mum's bday (and will have it today - bday dinner with the dugongs)... Secret Recipie... nah.. don't feel like it... and the hotel food... BLUERGHHHH..... can't compare to the hotel food in penang (that i got to admit...) so... then.. my brilliant Ah Ma Dugong suggested for seafood!!!!....

why the hell didn't I think of that!!!!! hehehehe... ok... so we went for seafood at TAMBUN... and yummers.... ate till too full... hahahaha.... we had...

- prawns (garlic with black tou yu)
- crabs (sweet and sour)
- siakap fish (steamed)
- 2 types of veg
- LOBSTER...!!! yeah babeh!!!!!!

in the end.. my mum asked if they put chinese wine in it.. cause she felt sleepy right after eating... i'm just thinking it's because she's full.... heheheh

wanted to take pic of the lobster but i bloody didn't charge my batteries.. so only got a pic of the prawns... *so sad...*

hmm.. few days ago, mum saw my slippers and said...

mum: OMG!!! look at your slipper!!!
me: yea.. so?
mum: it's so filthy... throw it away!! don't tell me u use that to work...
me: err.. yea..
mum: how can u wear this to work! it's like market slippers!
me: (it's not market slippers, it's Thai slippers - flip flops)... can!!! it's casual wear to work...ppl there wear jeans and sport shoes too!!!!
mum: cannot cannot... we go get some nice shoes for u for work....

me: *looking*... no...... dun like (looks like aunty aunty shoes man!!!)

so we went to sport shops cause i saw some in kl.. and liked it.. some were expensive esp the branded ones like Nike, Adidas... (though i loved the Skechers ones)... in the end i saw this Hawaiian looking type of slippers... and the price was RM20++....

me: what bout this?
mum: *saw the price*.. ok.. ask the guy for your size.. this will be your bday present
me: *grinning*... size 9 or 10 please!!!

so in the end.. I GOT ME SLIPPERS!!!!!!!!!! just look at this baby!!! but i'm just thinking.. the white will sure get dirty.... hmm.. looks like i got to jaga wearing it... ahahahha...

OLD ALREADY ahhhh!!

yes... i turned one year older today!!! and i had to go to work!!!!!! if it had a choice, i'd totally SLEEEEEEP IN!!!! but then.... the $$$ motivates me to go to work... so... *shrugs*

don't know of plans today, can't have any too cause i work till 6pm and got to get back to sleep early for work tomorrow.... dont know if my fellow dugongs got "something" in mind? ehhehe... and dad too asked if i had plans, he thought of going out for dinner.... so it's all being played by ear now... what ever plans come... right on!!!! if no plans.... no problems.....

my baby called last night to wish me... and had hinted to me that there was something coming for me to the office.... i told him i didn't want it!!! esp NOT in the office!!! it's not like i'm a permanent staff here, or have been working for 5 months or so.... i just bloody started 2 weeks ago and already getting stuff sent to the office?? nonononono...... its too early... too risky.... i'm still (as hard it is to say, i got to say it) a noob (as in newbie...) so.... if it is in the next 3 months or so.. then i wouldn't mind... but 2 weeks??? nah...

so i told him what ever "surprise" he wants to get me, send it to the hse.. my mum's there to get it and i'll see it when i get back... that would be better.....

somehow, i know it's still early, but i don't feels its like my birthday.... i even forgot that my bday was around the corner until my fellow ah kong dugong and ah ma dugong asked if i had plans......

job fair

on sat, i went to the job fair that was organised by the MSC ICT, went there with dad and found out there was a pc fair too.. but it wasn't like the pc fairs we get at PISA...

soooo...... at the job fair, i brought 10 copies of my resume with me and gave them out... mostly to all the IT companies.... managed to get a walk in interview with Motorola.... the others.. i was kinda late.. :( but anyway.... the interview with Motorola was kinda interesting.. though the guy got my by surprised by asking me what did i learn in Object Oriented!!! hahaha... i wasn't prepared for that question!! ahahah.. and then he asked bout my thesis.. that was ok... then in the end he asked what i thought bout software testing..and he brought out his HP... hehehehe... in the end i thought it went well and hope they'll call..

the other companies, i just left my resumes with them.. crossing my fingers for them to call me... so in the mean time... i'm just gonna continue my job....

sunday was abit layed back.. and i think it was TOO layed back that i felt sick!!! hahaha.... i managed to sleep early and felt ok on monday.. thank goodness!!!! wouldn't want to fall sick and take MC on my first week of work!!!

after a week working here... i've made some new friends and we became instance close friends.. and i'm glad that happened.. it made me feel quite comfortable and at home.... and also the fact that i have half of the friends i have are here... gives me that safe feeling that i'm not alone.. esp when u have half of the dugongs with u... (in the next CUBICLE!!!!! ahahahah LOL ahahaha)

basically... so far so good working.... and i think i'm nearly there in the getting-up-early routine... though i think it's hard work.. heheheh.....

mum's birthday...

had mum's birthday dinner at pizza hut.... don't blame me!!! she wanted to eat pizza!! u got to follow the birthday girl's wishes isn't it??? hehehhe.... didn't take much pics... pai seh.. heheheh.....

this time we tried the 3-types-of-cheese-in-one pizza thingy.... tastes good but when they did that, the filling was so little, couldn't really taste it... but it was ok overall...... :)

my KL trip...

was in kl just before i started work.. went there for a SEFA job career talk thingy... i was cool... had games too!!... and this time my baby followed me... now he has seen my SEFA friends and i think they got along with him too..... all crazy bunch of ppl... but VERY DEDICATED... sometimes i feel i'm not up to their standard... but then again, i guess it's because i've only been to a few of the meets.....

so other than the talk, my baby and i were hanging around KLCC and KLCC hahahah confusing eh... one IS the KLCC and the other KL Convention Centre.. it's a new building and just thought we'd go have a look at it... there's an aquarium there so... why not?! since my baby is a HUGE fan of fish!!!! heheheh....

also we went to catch a movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. hilarious man!!! and ate at Chillies!!!! just me actually... heheheh..... somehow my baby wasn't too hungry.... hmmm.....

mornings....

now that i start work in the morning and HAVE to get up early.... *what a drag... there's alot i've seen and noticed....

the first time i got up early and got out of the house, it reminded me bout my high school days in convent.... i'd get up early, have breakfast (now i don't cause - tummy still sleeping) and wait outside my house for my bus sekolah.... and i'll see housewives wearing their walking shoes and walking round the neighbourhood in a group of 4 or 6... chit chatting all the way and swinging their hands EXTRA hard (guess just to show that their "exercising"?) heheheh... so that's what i see every morning now.. and it brings back memories...

there was once when i saw my bus sekolah picking up kids for school... couldn't see if the driver was the same guy... man... just imagine if i was him.... i would go...

"how time flies.... i used to pick up this girl for school when she was 6 and now.... look, she's taking the car to go to work....."

when i thought of that, it made me smile and also feel abit sad... to know that time goes by without u knowing it.... but then again, i feel that it wasn't that bad... cause i know by now he's a grandfather and who knows... a great grandfather!!!! (he became a grandfather when i was in my later years of school)

and now... i have new memories of the mornings.... from the 5 days i've been coming to work in the morning, i have started to recognize the cars on the road... like that certain red Savvy which always overtake me... or that old proton saga which is always packed with ppl (also overtaking me).... and a white kancil at the parking lot with the car sun shades put up, but the car still running ... i thinking he came so early that he can have a nap before he starts work... ehhehehe... i think if i do that, i'll be LATE for work!!! LOL......

guess when there's a past... there's also the future and i'm really looking forward for mine and i really don't know what's there for me.... like before, i knew.. there's SPM... then there's the college exams.... and i got to do a thesis.... but now... nothing.. i know nothing... and sometimes that scares me.... grrr......

sigh... dunno what to say... it's been a week working and i should be getting used to it.. but then.... since i'm not a morning person.. its gonna be hard... though i DO NOT sleep through my alarm.. but i get groggy going to work and at work....

what's sad is that i don't get to see the sun!!!!! i mean i hate the heat... but it's nice to see the outside and the day...... but here... all i see is cubicles and more cubicles... and when its lunch time.. i really got to go down to the canteen cause i don't want to spend my 10 working hours to be in just one place.....

maybe i'm just not used to be in a routine.... high school may be a routine but it was fun... and college was so flexible.... and i'm so used to being layed back, get up late.. sleep late... but now.... sigh....

i guess that's working life.... can't complain... "it's all bout the MONEY, MONEY, MONEY..."

fuck, yesterday driving home from work, some stone hit the front glass and made a crack!!!!! i thought the whole screen will break but it didn't.... then i went home and told my dad bout it.. he got worried.. he said once there's a small crack the glass is unstable..... sigh.... it's gonne be expensive to replace it man!!!!! and this morning, i found out that the crack has gone longer.... and it's right infront of my view!! damn!!! hope it won't go further knowing the car will be in the sun for 10 hrs........ *crossing fingers

i still don't have my Streamyx set up at home in BM.. called during my break yesterday and the guy said to call later... fine... so i went home, tried again and it didn't work... i called at 8pm and the lady said it should be fine... i tried again... and NO!!! it didn't work again... so i called back at 8.45pm and the guy said that there's something wrong with my number, he'll report it and they'll call me back in 2 or 3 days... DAMN!!!!!! i told him i was waiting for emails from overseas but he can't do anything, he'll have to send the report...

so i guess i got to settle for my dial up again and wait till my streamyx is done.... DAMN DAMN DAMN... i'm sooo dying for the internet!!!!!!

the first step...

wed my cousin simon left us penangites.... and also the food.... at the same time i was packing my last load of stuffs back to bm... i'm officially moved out back home.... kinda starting to miss simon... had some good times... hope i'll be able to go for his wedding in march aussie land.... sigh... if not i'll only see him end of 2006....

everythings in a mess at home.... computer's there but it's "wireless" where i haven't set the cables up... got my streamyx account changed to my bm hse number.. so hopefully by mon or tues it should be working....

today... 1st day at work!!!.... just listened to calls... see how it's like.. hearing customers talk.. some are hard to understand but i guess after a while u get used to the slang and know what they are talking about... am abit excited and also nervous in taking calls on my own... brrrr......

so there's the weekend to try get my sleeping routine to be more "morning" friendly for when i start on mon...... for about 2 weeks i start at 8am.... brrr.....

will be meeting with Ah Kong and Ah Boss (Ah Ma) for dinner... heheheheh.... first dinner after first day of work!!! gonna be dead tired when i get back home though....

what do u say when a 3 drunk ppl sitting in a car, blasting not techno, not R&B but FRANK SINATRA at 4 in the morning????!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHhahahahah.... yea.. that is what happened last night!!!..... ah kong, me, simon and their aikido gang met up for dinner and some (not some but ALOT) celebration "drinks"... it was something... though i didn't get too wasted.... not that i wanted to..... heheheheh.... it was all good fun.... having a great group of friends.. just talking cock.... and seeing the "other" side of ppl that u would never see.... heheheh....

all this happened Merdeka eve at Song River.... when midnite striked, heard some fireworks but couldn't see them as it was at the Esplanade and we were at Gurney Drive... we were like eating like there's no tomorrow and drinking quenching our "thirst" !!!! ;)

took lots of pics but i shall just put up the "decent" ones.... so as not to embaress some ppl... hehehe.....

the career talk on sat was ok, there was an explanation on what "career" is and after the break there was a talk on EQ and some games to enhance our Openess, Neutral, Analytical, Decisive and Relational personalities.. it was quite interesting as the speakers were German.... the first talk was from a local....

my baby followed me to the talk and he met the comittee of SEFA... everyone keeps telling him to join SEFA because he IS a scolarship recepient... but then he's not that TYPE to join such things.... anyway there will be a treasure hunt in Oct... wonder if i'll be able to make it for that... now that i got a JOB.. ahahhah that sounds funny.....and weird at the same time...

today, we were at KLCC.... thought of going to see the new aquarium at the new KL Convention Centre but when we got there, the line was so long that it went all the way to the basement carpark (it was like that yesterday too!).... so we went around, window shopping looking out for slippers... but couldn't really find one... and then decided to checkout the line at the aquarium AFTER getting tickets to Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).... and when we got to the aquarium.. it was 8.15pm and the movie is at 9pm!!!!!!!! but then my baby insisted we go in cause we're already there... fine.... so we went in....

there was some quite nice fishes .... not many though... the underwater walkway was cool... they had a "moving" walkway.. just like the moving walkway u get in airports.... so this walkway takes u through the whole of the underwater tunnel... there was quite a few sharks and loads of other fishes but the fishes aren't as big as the ones in the Langkawi aquarium or at the one in Darling Harbour Sydney... what's dissapointing is that at the end of the tour there was no "theater" like aquarium where there are huge larger than life fishes... nope.. tak da... nothing... the main attraction was just the underwater-moving-walkway-shark tank.....

then we had to rush for the movie as we had to walk from the aquarium to KLCC and go up to TGV.... i missed the first 5 ot 10 minutes of it... i thought it was a cool, nice movie... a movie just to go for a laugh and go back to your childhood (that is if u relate chocolate to your childhood).... the movie was produced by the same guy from Edward Scissorhands which by the way is my favourite movie... so it's abit weird and "uuh?" type..... i think there's another movie coming out from the same producer together with Johnny Depp..... what i loved most from the movie is the lift...... man that lift is like a transport!!!! if u go see, watch out for "UP and OUT"... it literally means that!!!!!

so tomorrow, going back to penang... try to get my pc over back to BM.... do last of my moving from pg to bm and get psyched into getting ready for work... wonder what to wear... what to bring!!!

most hectic week

and i love it!!

there's so much that happened.... first it was the 2 phone calls about the job in DELL, then my cousin came down from London.. it's been like 7 years since i saw him... and then now in KL for a career talk organised by SEFA..... that's not it! when i come back to pg i start WORK!!!!!!

during the interview (both on the phone and face-to-face) was quite new to me... here they were asking me all these questions that i never was asked before and had abit of a cold sweat answering it.. it's like... what am i to say? did i say anything wrong? did i answer the question correctly? do they like me? did i say too much? ..........

but in the end i guess it was ok.... i got the job and i'm grateful that i won't be in a place that's strange to me... yes the place is new and i haven't seen SOOOO many cubicles in one place in my life!!!!!!! but when i start, i have friends.. i have my Ah Ma there and also another friend that's also in the same department... so... guess i don't need to be so worried bout the job...

having a cousin down is one story, having a crazy-friendly-happening cousin is another!!!! yea!!! my cousin who came down, haven't seen him in like 7 years or so... i was thinking to myself... what's he like..... and when i finally got to see him and spent a few days with him, he's such great guy....

having a crazy aunty in the family and being in penang, one coming from a foreign land to penang will be greeted with LOADS of food!! sometimes i pitty him because we've been stuffing him with sooo much food.. and not one type but MANY MANY types!!! from char kay teow to nasi kandar to thai food!!..

*Terry, if u're reading this, hope your memories are more of us (people) than food!!! looking at how much we fed u, u might not remember us!!! heheheh

so yea.... he came to malaysia on a job.. he writes for DJ Mag in London (see one of his articles) and came here to review on a DJ-dance music fesival which was held in Port Dickson... and took some time off to see us in penang.... so being in the music industry... i just HAD to bring him clubbing!!! he wanted to go to a feng-tau club but i didn't really know where had feng-tau... i think Rock World has but that place is so notorious and too dangerous for me to be in.... so in the end i brought him to Chillout-Mambo together with Simon.... and to my surprised, he liked it, seemed to be enjoying himself!! hahahah.....

other than clubbing, both Cheryl and i brought him to batu feringghi for the sand, sea and "pirate" shopping and more eating!!! i also brought him up Penang hill using the train and went for the canopy walk in the jungle.... what fun!!!.... for the 3 days that he's been here, it was packed and full with FOOD!!! it was so much fun having him around... really wished he could stay longer.....

so now, i'm in KL.... i came here for a SEFA-JTI career talk and SEFA EGM... i was given the job to write an article of the career talk.... and will be here for the weekend... got to come back to penang to try get a transfer of my streamyx back to my BM hse and get ready for my JOB!!!!! ggrrr.... getting bit nervous thinking bout it.... i start on the 2nd and got to be at DELL at 8 am and my wonderful Ah Ma will greet me..... thank god for that as i wouldn't need to be in such nervousness.......

my other cousin, Simon too will be leaving for australia.... this time around i haven't been around hanging out with him much... kinda feeling bad... just hope i will get a chance to go for his wedding in Perth this coming March... hmmm......

so one more weekend of freedom and the world of WORKING will start!!!.......

1st job!

YES YES YES!!! i got it!!!

i got the job at DELL... at the CMG department.. with my fellow dugong Ah Ma.... muahahahha.. she's like so happy.... it's funny that most of the dugongs started their "careers" at DELL... guess if u're a dugong.. u're a dugong.. go where the dugongs have gone! hahahahah....

well the procedure of me getting this job was different.. i mean i got a call from Jobstreet, then a phone interview from DELL and then and face to face interview in DELL and from there i heard that actually Jobstreet is the one who's hiring me... and in the end, it was Ah Ma who made to call to hire me.. say that i got the job.... hmm... i thought that was funny... hahaha.. maybe i just don't know how these things work....

last few days was a blast.... had my cousin Terry over for a very VERY VERY short holiday so me and my other cousin is trying to put EVERYTHING one could do in penang in like 3 days!!!!! we still have the whole day today!!!.... and he leaves tomorrow morning!!!!... what a waste!!!

will be going to KL for the weekend.... got SEFA-JTI career job talk thingy... so will be going for that... will be seeing my baby.... after soo long.. can't wait!!!! and got to be back to get ready for my first day of work!!!!! that's 2nd September!!!

so yea.... won't be blogging.. till.... hmmm... can't really say......

1st interview!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

i got a call from DELL the afternoon the Jobstreet lady called.. and i was having my teleconference while i was driving!!!! i HAD to stop by the roadside and have my interview in my car... man!! what an experience!!!!

was like soo nervous.. i couldn't tell if he was happy with what i said and how i said it or if he didn't like it.. it's like he's so... how u say.. didn't show any reaction on what i said....

so face to face interview is TOMORROW! wednesday.. at DELL... 10.30 am!!! grrr.... nervous.... don't know if can sleep!!!!

1st phone call of my working life..

so hard to get my lecturers to reply my email... sigh.. i guess they're busy or something.. looks like i got to go back finding my old lecturers from Informatics... hope they can still remember me! hehehhe....

got a call from Jobstreet.... it seems there's an opening for SALES in Dell... hahah i have quite a number of friends working in mostly all departments in Dell.... but i never thought of doing sales.... hmm.... i've heard alot of "stories" of Dell...

anyway.. SALES?!!! i never had SALES in my head.... didn't like the idea of going out to find customers, persuading them to buy.... and having QUOTA!!!! grrrr.... that scares me... but then the lady who called from Jobstreet says that the sales department in Dell is "internal sales" which means the employees do not go "out" to make the sale... it's all with phone calls in the office.. which is (i guess) ok for me.... and they want to put me on the Australian/New Zealand group....(working 5.30am to 2.30pm.. what odd working hours.. having friends working there.. i know the weird times they have...).... that too i've heard loads of "stories"... hahahah...

so... yea.. Jobstreet will send my resume to Dell and if i'm shortlisted, they'll call me for a "teleconference interview" ..... grrr.... nervous-nye..

RESUME = HEADACHE

been trying to write my resume... don't know which format to follow... some are telling this others telling me that.... sigh...

looks like i'm gonna write afew and see which one is better.... still haven't heard from my references if they agree to be my references.... sigh....

and also the CV letter... what am i to write about? ggrrr... headache!!!

i hate going up and down bm and pg... but then again it gives me an excuse to come to penang.... hahhahaha....

went clubbing on wed with sharon and her friend benny... it was ok.. i mean the music was "acceptable" but the scene was... abit too weird for me... it was nearly 100% occupied with chinese.. i mean i have nothing against them but it's just that the last time i went to Chillout (at Gurney Hotel) i saw more of other races there... guess i've lost touch with the clubbing scenes here... or maybe the others were at other clubs.. maybe SS or SOHO? i wouldn't know....

wed was ladies night and sharon and i got in for free (the drinks were free too) but benny had to pay to get in.. i thought it would be like RM25 with 1 free drink or something but on the way home i asked him how much did he pay to get in.. he said RM51 WITHOUT free drink...

i mean heck
1) what's with the extra RM1 and
2) so expensive with no free drink?

unbelievable man!!! was telling sharon that next time we should just go to SS cause benny can get in free... talking bout next time... i felt that the older we get the less interested we are in clubbing... maybe for some, initially clubbing wasn't their cup of tea but did clubbing anyway and for some (like me) started clubbing early than usual and still do love going but because of lack of company, clubbing isn't as easy as before.... sigh.... maybe i should just find another type of entertainment.. but then again.... not...

during my stay in australia, i've met some friends of my relatives and i don't know but they don't really "get" Malaysia.. i mean when they spoke to me they went...

They: oh.. your english is good! i thought u didn't speak english
ME: (like duhhh!!!!) uh... i speak english at home and also with my friends in school. eventhough our lessons are in malay, we speak english....
They: oh.........
ME: (rolls my eye in my heart....) yeah....

so i guess, how advanced malaysia is, there are still ppl and countries that are not aware of how developed we are... heck we get movies earlier than them!!! somehow this makes me feel more appreciative towards my country... eventhough i'm not as patriotic as i should, i'll always feel much more at home here.... yes sometimes the government isn't fair to all races and being a "lain-lain", ppl like us should work harder to get places we deserve, but as long as i know, i'm treated right and i'm glad that i'm living here....

is it ok if i don't put any references in my resume? none of my lecturers have replied to me on that.. and it's about time i started sending my resumes out.... scared thinking bout working... what if i don't know anything bout the job? what if the ppl don't like me? what if i don't like them?.......

there's a SEFA career talk by JTI this coming 27th... and also SEFA's EGM... should i go?? it'll be good if i went.. cause i could give out my resume... and also get to know my SEFA members.... what to do.. what to do.. what to do...

felt abit sad that i didn't go for a very good friend's convo in USM... told her that i would go and be with her on that big day but i didn't... what a friend i am... :( really sorry babe!

went for a wedding dinner with my dad to a family friend's son's wedding.... and who on earth did i see a few tables away? my best friend's ex... i mean... this is a dinner in PENANG and i can't seem to see the connection with him who is from BM with the PENANG ppl here at the wedding.... hmmm.. the world is soo small... i guess if i, from BM could know ppl from PENANG... why not he right? so... yea the world IS small.... don't know if he saw me or not.... not bothered anyway....

tomorrow dad's gonna have a cycling expedition to the Thai border.. where? i can't remember the place now.. i think it's something like Baling or something... so that means he'll be taking the car, start driving early morning and cycle..... thought of going with him but.. thinking of driving 20 KM/h or less for 3 hours (see my older posts on the trip to so called Cameron Highlands) got me thinking....

will be here in pg for a few days, cousin from England coming, my baby's coming... YEAY YEAY YEAY!!!!

going par-tay-ing!!

after sooo long... i've made plans with Sharon to go clubbing!!!! haven't been clubbing for AGES...!!!

so since both of us just passed out thesis and finished out studies.. we thought it would be a good time to do some partying.... unfortunately we're both broke so we HAD to have it today cause it's Ladies Night as entrance is free and drinks are free.... am not too sure where we'll be going.. either to Chillout.. or the new Mamabo.. haven't been to Mambo yet so not sure how things work there....

gonna get my fringe trimmed today... abit irritating to keep a fringe where the hair gets into the eyes.... but then again... i malas.... hehehehe....

won't be going online for a few days again cause i'll be going home tonight.... i'll be back to pg most prob on fri or something cause my cousin Simon said he wanna "help" me celebrate my thesis properly this weekend.. hahahah.... (also he's only free in the weekend)....

can't wait for next week...
1- my baby is coming back.. he's on semester break....
2- cousin from England coming to penang... he'll be in KL before that for some DJ journalist thingy for a DJ mag he is working for... it'll be cool!! haven't seen him for AGES!!!

oh well.. guess i better go to the hair dressers..... chop chop!!!

yea... eventhough i got my results over the phone... i needed to see it for myself.... so i went to college today to see the results that were pasted on the notice board... and YES!! i DID pass!!!! i can't believe it!!!! and once again i had a smile on my face.... heheheheh....

now... i need to celebrate... unfortunately... i'm low in $$ to actually go celebrate drunk-ly.... but then i made plans with Sharon for a "ladies nite" outing... entrance free... drinks free... but then it'll be a pitty for guys who may want to follow us... they got to pay to get in AND for their drinks... am not too sure who'll be following us though..... ANYONE??? who wants to follow us???

the weekend was abit sucky..... was home.. doing nothing much.. can't do anything bout finding for job as i don't have my pc with me there.... that's why i'm here in penang.... but i did go out with Pauline my best friend.... we went to catch Bewitched... it was a cool movie but was kinda dissapointed that there were not many tricks been done in the movie....

again.. i feel like there's so much to write but can't seem to get it out to write.... sigh.......

good to smile without reason

i just went for a movie (as said in previous post) and thought of pampering myself with Coffee Beans....

so went to the ground floor and on the way down i saw that some new shops were opened and the renovations to certain floors were made.... boy.. only then i noticed that i haven't been to gurney plaza for like "ages"...... hehehe.....

was in coffee bean and saw an ad for their new Belgium drink... thought i'd try it... man!! when i took the first sip... i just couldn't help it but SMILE..... i didn't sit in the cafe cause i had to get back.. so while walking pass the shops and to the car i couldn't help it but smile.....

i suddenly just felt happy... i don't know if it was because the movie was nice... or that i've seen mel in the movie... or that the belgium drink was superb.... it might also be that i'm done with studies... found out that i passed my thesis... starting afresh... and was on hols for the past 5 weeks...... i guess it was ALL of the above that made me smile... and the nice thing was that i was alone.... having time to myself... able to think properly....

i know sometimes i hate shopping alone or going out alone.. but i managed to get pass that and look at the good part of it.... i can go where ever i want and for how long i want... but then IT IS nice to have someone with u.....

ahh... just wished i could have that feeling back again to smile.....

i went to GSC gurney to catch the movie.... thought i'd better catch it soon and not miss it.... my good ol friend melissa maureen is in it as "Mia" ....

it's a nice heart warming movie, about friends, relationship and family.... some parts are touching and there are many familiar faces in it... it put a smile on me when i saw armani (Orkid from SEPET).... and of course mel.... :)

for those who are into local movies (it had the same standard as AADC and other Indon movies together with SEPET) go catch this movie...!!

mel if u're reading this... GOOD JOB mel!!! and also to your best friend Faz!! hope to meet you guys soon!!

fuh.....

what a month.....

was in KL straight after my thesis, then to sydney for 3 weeks and another week in KL for my cousins wedding... had no time to sit down and think and come to my senses....

so now i'm back... am starting to settle down... got to start anew... get my resume done... make copies of my certs... hunt for jobs..... AND.... sort of get a short term life plan started.....

Adelaide felt like home...

was in Adelaide for the past 4 days.. just came back to Sydney today... feeling very tired... being in Adelaide somehow made me feel like i was at home... wonder why... maybe it's because it isn't too rush-y like Sydney (which is similar to KL life).... and also my cousin Pira said that Adelaide and Penang are sister cities because both had connection to Francis Light.. so..hmmm......

went around Adelaide town.... quite nice.. they have the normal malls, pedestrian malls and had loads of high school kids "lepaking" around after school (cause when i saw that it was a friday) and saw ppl with bright pink hair and gothic people... so cool!!! heheheh.....
