Hawker #4 in Kuching, Sarawak
my final cari makan #4 destination, just hours before i boarded the plane back to Penang (so sad, had to go home). i was brought to this market, where people were selling veg outside, with snacks, cakes, food, plants, household stuffs by the road side. i was thinking, where the heck is this fella bringing me....
mana tau..... we headed inside and climbed upstairs to the 2nd floor and there was a food court! don't get me wrong, it was quite full with people and there were quite a number of stalls open. why i was brought here?......
... for the beef noodle soup!!! as u know, beef noodle soup would usually have the different parts of the cow in it.. which i don't really fancy... so i just ate the more "decent" cuts and left the rest for my friend.. hahaha sorry! but the soup.. hmm...... :D something i never had before.. it's just somewhat different than the other beef noodle soups i had (which in fact not many lol)
then i finally tried this tomato noodle my friends was telling me about for a couple of days. it's crispy mee in tomato like gravy.. love it! similar to the one in Penang but the gravy is tomato based which gives a tang in the taste. the veg, meat and beansprouts all compliment each other...
now u must imagine how full i was then! but thank you the host for bringing me to all these places to try Kuching's best foods. really had a great time... i'll definately be back! :D
