KL jam + parents? bad idea

hahhaha... yea! that's true! especially with my parents la....
here u have...
- a daughter,*cough cough* who "knows" the way around KL
- a mother, who is from KL but never stayed in KL ever since she got married
- a father, who has a map in his hand "trying" to read it......
so as u can imagine, kelam kabut in the car....
scenario: heading towards Bintang Walk from TTDI
the plan is to get to Bintang Walk from the same highway as how you would go when you're coming from Penang... so... the daughter knew the road, BUT that road was closed!! there was a diversion... fine... followed the diversion.... in KL when u have a diversion u're sure to get stuck in a jam.. hence the "help" from father (which he insisted in helping) and his map... it's of no use cause the roads are 1 way (which is not stated in the map) AND there was trafic, so it was hard to read signboards when u have HUGE lorries in front of u....
when plan A doesn't work, u have plan B - mother. Mother was born and bred in KL, but lived in Penang all of daughter's life, so she "thinks" she still knows KL.... that worked abit, until she found out that the roads she knew before has turned into 1 way hence the kelam kabut again....
so...... when plan A and plan B failed, it goes back to the original plan - the daughter *cough cough*. She basically knows the roads and stuck to it, even though the jam was stagnant for bout 20 minutes, in the end, that plan worked AND managed to reach the destination AND find parking! *cough cough*
the lesson to this story, leave it to the ones who "know", even if that person just relies on road signs....
:)
