MyVi.... Malaysian's new car!

was reading the advertisement teasers in the newspapers about the new Perodua MyVi... so went online to search for it in Google... and i found these pics...

being "this" close into finishing my thesis and about to go into the working world.. i started dreaming of what i'm gonna do and things like that... so one thing came up to mind was to save money to get a car.. and well i thought this new one was quite nice!! price also... ok.. same as the Satria like the one my dad got.... but then again pictures are different from the real thing.. will have to go to the Perodua show room to check it out.. see if it's still as small as their other cars or bigger...

this new car is said to be based on the Daihatsu and Toyota designed Sirion ( a.k.a. Boon, Passo, etc... ) and the name MyVi... some say it's My Vision, My Vehicle, Malaysian Vision, Malaysian 6th (6th Perodua car..) am really not too sure. the official launch will be on the 25th of May this year or so.. around that date.

prices range from RM42,000 to RM52,000. The low end model will be equipped with a 1.0l engine and manual transmission whilst the high end model is said to be a 1.3l engine ( with DVVT, possibly same engine as the Kembara and Avanza ) with automatic transmission plus dual air bags and ABS! there is also mention of sophisticated anti-theft ignition keys. if this is true the RM52k price is justified because it has better features than a similarly priced Wira with two exceptions; engine capacity and space.

well.. we'll see how popular this car will get and see if it's suitable for me... nyeh nyeh nyeh....
