today was a beach-y day....

my cousin laura and her husband leigh drove me up north to Palm Beach... it's the last beach of the coast line of the Northen Beaches... man i love that place... it's soo peaceful, the scenery was gorgeous.. even the weather was so fine.... it's a good day today, clear blue sky and the sun shining brightly...

the beaches here are different... the sand is some sort red-orange colour and the waves are awesome!!! u think it's winter and no one was at the beach... WRONG!! eventhough its winter there are ppl SURFING there!!! don't care if the water is freezing!! amaizing...

after Palm Beach, they brought me to another beach called Whale Beach... it's about the same, ppl picnicking and SURFING (in WINTER mind u...) they said that if u seen one beach, u've seen the others.... wow... i didn't want to leave that place.... wished it was warmer abit so that i could go and swim in the beach.... but then again.. it's good enough that i was there....

best of all it's facing the Pacific Ocean... :)

tomorrow i'll be going back to my godpa's place but on the way back, laura said she'll bring me to the more happening beach in Sydney.. BONDI Beach.... which is situated in the Southern Beaches.... so i've seen the Northern Beaches and tomorrow i'm gonna see the Southern Beaches... cool aint it?! can't wait!!!!

in North Sydney

this weekend i'm at North Sydney staying at my cousins place.. the cousin that's getting married in aug in kl.... its totally the opposite from where i'm staying with my godpa...

wow.. there's so much to tell.. bout australia and how i love this place.. but i can't seem to sit down and think properly to write.... heheh.... will do that when i'm fully rested and have time on my hands...

it's been a tiring week for me... soaking in the new culture, scenery, food, the cold and basically everything bout me going overseas to some place that i have no idea of!!... i've always been observant when i go to a new place esp in penang... but when i came here... there's too much to take in!! too much to remember!!... so i told myself that i should just prioritise the basics.. like where am i staying, which train stations do i need to take and that should be enough for just in case purposes.. and others... i'll just let it be.... enjoy the places, the sights and the scenery.. man.. the air here is clean and crisp...

got 2 more weeks to go before i come back to good ol penang and haze... has it been raining in penang lately? but one thing i miss bout penang.. its the FOOD!! OMG!!! yes they have bacon in their McDs here in australia but where can u get cheap, DELICIOUS, and filling food??? and ALL TIME ROUND???

will be going around North Sydney tomorrow, see the beaches that face the PACIFIC OCEAN and see clean-feet-water!!! oooo i can't wait for that!!! will take loads of pics!!!

i wonder how's everyone back in penang is doing... esp the dugongs... still blur? hehe can't wait to see u guys again...

my godpa got me a digital camera! it's Canon PowerShot A75 - 3.2 megapixels with 32MB card! woooweeee!!! yeay!!!! i've been waiting for a digital camera for sooo long!!! heheheh now i can take pics of my stay here! MUAHAHAHAHAHA

today we went to Sydney (the city)! i can't believe that i'm still here!! hehehe... it was amazing walking around the city... first we stopped at a park that had the view of the Sydney Opera house and the bridge.. took some pics but didn't turn out nice (my godpa took it with his video cam and he rather take videos than still pics..)

Then we parked the car and headed to a park that was on the way to the city centre of Syndey and where all the shopping is!! no i didn't shop.. things are too expensive but i got to see the different shops they had, the people there with their fancy winter clothes... i think i'll come back here again just to have a cup of tea or chocolate, sit by the side of the walkway and watch people walk by... interesting...

Walking along the outside of the mall (it's a pedestrian walk like Bintang Walk in KL) there were ppl singing and playing their instrudments to get some $$ from the ppl around.. so we saw this guy who was singing oldies and his voice was quite good!! hahaha my godpa said i should get a pic with him while he was singing (note the opened mouth) and he was quite friendly! after the pic he asked how was i! hehehe...

eventhough it's just been 24 hrs since i got here, i realised Australians are soo friendly.. what i mean is that they can just come up with a conversation with u!! like while driving to town, we had to stop at a traffic light and there was some construction going on at that junction... my godpa's wife just put down the window and asked the guy cementing the pavement if she could put her initials there!! i mean!! u don't do that in Malaysia!!! and even when buying food or stuff, the cashier will just talk to u like some good old friends!! can crack (sarcasm) jokes too!!!! i'm like really in a culture shock!!! hahahah....

my trip was awesome!!! though the seats were abit small couldn't really like lie back and sleep... food was good.. had chocolate cake and stuff... hehehe.. was glad that the food was "acceptable"...

one thing bothered me was that towards the end of the journey... it was abit shaky and felt abit sick.. but when i touched down and went to the toilet... i felt much better..

am here in my godpa's place... writing this... will write more when i can.. in short.. so far so good i'm having a great time!! the houses here are soooo different! the air is COLD! and man.. everything is sooo different here compared to Malaysia.....

will be going sightseeing tomorrow!! hope i can get alot of pics!!!

this is it... THIS FRIDAY!! i'm leaving for sydney!! i can't believe it!! can't wait.. and also feeling abit nervous... this is my first time going out of the country....

yesterday was wannabe dugong's birthday... had dinner at his new place.. his loving gf (who is also my cousin - blur dugong) cooked the dinner... so sweet uh? *aawwww there were the dugongs plus some of his workmates... the dinner was simple...

what interest me was his house.. his place is like a 3 story building.. (mind u it's my first time being in a 3 story house).. and the architecture was different.. they don't have a front gate but they have like a garage thingy where two cars can be parked infront of the front door and the houses looks like american houses... i'm guessing it's the new trend/architecture for houses here in malaysia.. *i might me wrong

our wannabe dugong got a new BMX bike.. it was in RED!! so nice!! *i want i want hehehhe... we all could see he was so happy bout it... oit Mr.Pacaldo!! no more excuse for not exercising ahhh... go cycle to blur's house!! hehehe...

then after the birthday makan... (because my baby came and will be going off to KL soon and my cousin won't be seeing him after that) we went to play DOTA.. what is DOTA? well it's a new map in WarCraft III.. i'm not really a gamer but because my baby is and he insist i know something bout games, i got to learn abit of it.. it was ok... it was more for the two guys.. so... yea... we were in NetCity (Tg Bungah) till bout 3.30am... bluueeggghhh... sooo late... my eyes couldn't open!!! hahahah.. but managed to drive back...

so today.... i'm to print my cousin's Order of Service booklet cover for her wedding service in Aug... yea i was put incharge to design the cover... lets see if i can put it up here.. and i also designed a logo for them.... it's "L" and a "G" with a "2" as the power of two.. cause both of their initials are LG - Leigh Greenwood and Laura Greenwood as in Mrs.Greenwood...

and then.. i'll be off to bm to START PACKING!!!!! muahahahahah.....

oh what a night!

last night was a blast!! it's been ages since i gotten myself wasted!! all thanks to my beloved cousin Simon and Ah Kong dugong!!!!

it was about 8.30pm when Ah Kong fetched us (me and Simon) and headed to Shamrock after picking up another fellow.. at Shamrock.. they insisted i have a beer and a Bicardi Lime... fuhh.. i thought i could go slow.. but nooooo they had to start me off with a hard one!!! and then that's not enough.. we went to meet more ppl (Ah Kong's Aikido gang) at Song River for fish belly panggang but the guy had no more fish belly so had to settle with sting ray... ohh well...

beers where first... then when the fish came... slowly the beer finished and the Vodka came out... it's my first time tasting the flavoured Vodka Mandarin.. it was mixed with 7-up.. so it tasted like some orange drink just that it didn't look like an orange drink and there was a kick after taking sips....

hahahh.... once the vodka came out... all hell broke loose!! hahaha... everyone was turning red and talking cock.. man!! it's been ages since we had this.. for me that is... hahah.. one of the reason we had this gathering was because i have finished my thesis.. heheheh

came home bout 3am something and conked off.... didn't get up will 1pm!! hahah that's not so bad isn't it.. what's amaizing was that Ah Kong could go online when he got back AND Simon could get up at 10am for his Tai Chi!!!! wtf man!!!

and last night i found out that another fellow dugong; Wannabe Dugong.. just started a blog! looks like the dugongs are getting into the blog-trend.. all thanks to Ah Ma for starting the trend... :)

so here i am now.. abit stoned and blur from last night.. don't think i'll do much.. my baby said he'll come today but couldn't cause got some family outing.. i'm thinking they're going diving again!! so.. he might come tomorrow.. i can't wait!!!!

yesterday dad came down to Penang to pay for the tickets... so now i got them and i'm officially going!! yeay!!! will be leaving on the 8th of july taking the 7.15am flight.. ergghh so early.... don't think i'll be able to sleep the night before... will be sooo excited...

haven't started packing yet.. will only pack when i get back to bm...

sat on my dad's new bike... don't really like sitting on bikes but it was ok, haven't sat on one for quite sometime, mum had the car.. so no choice... after the travel agent, we went to Campbell Street to get t-shit souviniers and some rattan stuffs.. altogether it came up to about RM100!!! i feel like santa... heheheh...

been here in penang.. trying to get some detailed stuff ready for when i go to sydney like relatives contacts.. list of stuff i'm to bring and to buy home... recipies for them...

ooo i can't wait.. i can't wait.. i can't wait....

yea... i'm going to Sydney to visit my godpa and an uncle and aunty in Adelaide... i can't wait...

i've been waiting for soo long to travel out from this country and this is my only chance... i've finished studying and now i'm free... (for a while that is.. heheh) i didn't tell anyone bout this because at the beginning it was just a "plan" not sure if i was going or not (if tell then tak jadi.. malu also right?).. so now i AM going.....

so i've made my bookings (haven't paid though) for the 8th of July and will be back on the 1st of Aug... been busy ever since i finished my presentation..

- applying for my passport
- applying for MAS Grads (MAS student card to get cheaper rates)
- applying for an International License..

yea my godpa said he wants me to drive around with his new car.. what car i dunno.. hehehe... will be meeting up with my other cousin, Laura (who's getting married in Aug in KL) and said she wants to bring me to the Blue Mountains.. so hopefully that plan works out... gosh... i'm soo excited and nervous too, knowing how my previous trip to KL got screwed with/without plans...

right now got to start packing, get recipies of the local food and get ready for my trip!

* any advice, tips, cheats on my trip? like how to pack, what to say at the airport, what can bring what cannot bring...? please don't mind me.. it's my first time flying out of the country..

now i'm penang.. getting some things settled for something la... heheh will blog about it when it's confirmed... ooo i'm so excited...

ohh yea.. bout the cooling story in the cameron trip i missed out.. well.. on the way up, i BADLY wanted to pee... so i came across this place where i saw a "P" sign (for parking), a "spoon and fork" sign (for food) and a "male/female" sign (for toilet).. so i turned in, park the car and when i got out i had a chill!!! from head to toe!!! it was nice feeling!!! i was thinking why is it so nice and cooling??? then i realised that i am way way up on the hills and IT IS expected to be cold up there!!! ahahahah (ok dugongs...here u go.. 1, 2, 3... Duugongggg...) i smiled to myself knowing how silly i was.. gosh.. really loved the weather up there.. it was cooling and windy and fuuhh... didn't want to go back...

and another thing... when i went in that place having the thought "yeay i get to pee" feeling.. i also realised it was a strawberry farm!!!! i was like wow!!! i should have known!!! IT IS cameron and there SHOULD be strawberries!!! (dugong moment again.. sigh..) i was so amazed bout that place... seeing how strawberries are gown and the stuff they can make with them... jam, cookies, drink.... (i just hope i didn't look like some fella from an ulu kampung coming to this place for the first time...) well in fact i AM someone who haven't been to this place before but i'm NOT from a kampung, ok! hehehhe

now that i know how to drive to Cameron Highlands.. really hope i'll get to go there again....

well as written before bout my KL trip, it was some trip... screwed and yet not so screwed...

so anyway, am back now in penang.. my baby followed me back from KL.. so nice.. it's been a while since we both sat on the bus and heading for the same destination. he spent a few days with me here in penang... didn't do much though.. had no car to go around, so stayed in the house for most of the time till i started nagging him... he was sleeping during the day (as u all know my baby's sleeping habits) and that lead us to going out in the evening and HAD to take the cab back which is $$ and fortunately happened only once.. other times, we were out with my mum running some errands...

*don't think having my mum and my baby in the same car is awkward.. in fact i feel that they love each others company!!! HAHAHAHAH

went back to BM for the weekend, dad had a cycling trip to Cameron Highlands.. boy i was excited... yes i had to sacrifice my getting-up-at-1pm routine but hey! it's a rare chance that i get to go to places like this and also it's my first time up there!!!

so what happened was, i got up at 4.15am or so on sunday... supposed to meet my dad's friend at 5am to push off to cameron... there we were at 4.50am at the meeting place and his friend only came at 5.30am!!! sheesh... just imagine how sleepy i was!!!

fine, we left and reached Simpang Pulai (just after Ipoh) to meet the rest of the cycling gang... i was given the honour to be their "backup".. which means driving the car at the average of 20 KM/hr for 60 KM following them for just-in-case purposes and also for water if they need any... but basically i was driving for my dad as the rest were way way ahead of him... do u have any idea how SLOW driving 20 KM/hr is??? sometimes it was bearly 10KM/hr too!!! sure was bored!!

the trip up was nice, nice view, no traffic and cooling (about the cold.. that's another story).. it took dad about 3 hours to get up there... not to Cameron Highlands itself but up to Kampung Raja (or something like that)... i thought they'd go up to Cameron (cause i haven't been up there before) but they didn't... had LOUSY lunch there and in no time it was time to cycle back... how they managed to cycle that much in a day, i don't know....

the trip down was much faster, i guess it's because of the down hill... it was 3 something when we reached Simpang Pulai... u think that being surrounded by sweating men puts u on... think again!!! NOT!!!!! eww eewww eeeewwwww..... they were all wet and just imagine the smell!!.. and another thing, it's a rare sight to see so many ppl dismantling their bycles to put in their cars/jeeps.. it's like how u see it at some cycling event like Le Tour De Langkawi or something...

on the way, i stopped at a strawberry farm, got some strawberries to munch in the car and on the way back got more strawberries, strawberry cookies and roses!! man... the flowers there are cheap! 3 packets for RM10!! and when i went home i counted i had about 31 or 32 stalks of roses!! not bad a deal uh?

so now half of the flowers are nicely blooming at home in BM and half here in penang... what a sight.. LOVELY!!!! i got red ones, yellow ones, peach ones and a new colour, purple ones!! LOVELY!!!! maybe i should just be a florist!!!!

am back... as a firefly

so my KL holiday is over....

the last three days of my trip to KL was well... sort of 50-50... as usual my baby sleeps during the day so he didn't bring me out "sight-seeing" and "window-shopping" cause by the time he fetched me to go out, shops were nearly closing and all we could do is eat and (if lucky) catch a movie.

saw Star Wars again.. heheheh..... *grin*

managed to check out The Curve at Damansara and The Oval (new phase of 1-Utama). didn't stay long as we didn't get there early... the malls were nice, new and had loads and loads of shops....

my baby brought me to eat at Chillies...!!! (the one at KLCC) and boy!!! i'm so glad that ah ma recommended me to go try the food there... i had BBQ beef and chicken... gosh!! i was soo speechless after that!!! we also had Ceaser Salad.. that was a yummers, we also tried their chilly, it's like a spagetthi sauce with beef but instead of being tomato-ey it was spicey! mmmm.... and they had drinks called "bottomless"... it was free flowing!! i can't remember but my baby said i had 3 full cups of pineapple juice!!! hahhaha.. and for desert, we had the monster chocolate thingy (choc cake, moouse, ice-cream and caramel) and by the time we finished, we were sooo bloated and full!!!! me wanna go there and try their other dishes.... yum yum... looks like Chillies has a new fan!!!

the firefly trip with SEFA members was a blast!!! it all started by meeting with everyone at Menara STAR, then in 4 cars, we went to Kuala Selangor. since it was still early and after a few wrong turns we managed to find Taman Melawati at Kuala Selangor...

Taman Melawati, it's a small bukit where one has to sit on a so-called train that uses the engine of a lorry and makeshift open-air train coaches. it was fun going up the hill on that and at the top, u could see the view of the sea, there was a light house and LOADS of monkeys!!!! yes monkeys!!! these monkeys in Kuala Selangor is sooo huge!!! bigger than the ones in penang.. hahaha.. and they were black!!! so we fed the monkeys and hung around them for a while and took pics. then the train came again to pick us up and went down the hill.... it was an interesting ride... we were all crazy!! hahah...

then we adjurned to eat seafood... these seafood restaurants are like the ones here at Tambun/Batu Kawan.. it's been built overlooking the river.. we were there just in time for the sunset.. it was beautiful... we had two types of fish, two types of squid and veg... by the time we left, it was about 8pm and went to see the fireflies...

the firefly centre, the way it was built was to attract tourists... it had nice parking lots, nicely done wooden reception area and a jetty where u got to wear life jackets and get on a sampan to go see the fireflies... only 3 to 4 persons are allowed in one sampan. the guy rowing the sampan was explaining about the fireflies and brought us near the trees where the fireflies were.. it was BEAUTIFUL!!! it looked like so many christmas trees in a row!!!

facts (i could remember) of fireflies

- bright lights are males, dim lights are females
- lives for 3 months
- lay 8 to 10 eggs only (that's why it's a protected species)
- only in 2 places in the world - Kuala Selangor, Malaysia and the Amazon Jungles
- all they do is eat, sleep and mate (i know u males would like to have that life!!)

it was a full moon so we couldn't see much of the fireflies... it's best to go when there is no moonlight. the boat ride was about 15 to 20 minutes, it was short but very memorable. the boat man took some flies and put in on our hands and it looked like our hands were glowing...

what's funny after the trip was that the journey back to Menara STAR was a different route, we got lost and somehow ended up at Kapar (where? i dunno.. Klang or something) and managed to get on the highway and headed back to KL...

the SEFA members who came was a crazy and fun bunch. i thought i'd feel left out but i was so wrong! no regrets!!! hehehhe

better part of KL

ok ok.. so maybe it isn't all that bad....

first part of my hols, i was at Bkt Jalil... stayed with a girlfriend and we were catching up on things... it was nice staying in an all girl appartment.. got a taste of living with housemates and roomates.. something different for me...

we went to Sunway Piramid, there was a Hotlink roadshow, unfortunately we missed Pop Shuvit's performance but managed to catch Resmonu... took some pics.. but i don't think it was enough.. at the same time there was a dance competition.. dances from hip-hop, waltz, tango, pop... yea.. in a mall.. hahaha... the contestants were all chinese and i guess it was a chinese event as everything was in chinese... some dances were good some were ridiculous!!!

also we went to Times Square, walked around looking for a skarf/shawl for my cousin's wedding in aug.... found one.. red, see through, with flowers sewn on it.. it was on sale RM20 only... then saw The Interpreter... it was good, abit of mystery, abit of confusion but it gave a glimps of how important an interpreter is.. especially when it comes to negotiating for world peace... and also i met my cousin Simon and his new fiancee Margaret.. at least i got to see her here in kl as she won't be going to penang in this trip to malaysia... and simon.. will see him again when i get back to penang... ahahah eating time!!!

when i FINALLY met my baby, it was good, met up with his bro and sis too... was wanting to meet up and hang out with them for quite some time already and well, now i am able to... they are a fine bunch of people... hanging out with them for a few days gave me a feeling of having a bro and sis... which is different but in a nice way... :)

the Lim kids and i went to Times Square (yes..again) and we went to watch a 3D movie... we got the 45 minute movie which costs RM15.. it was ok.. 3D effects were good but the story line was bad.... sigh.... then walking around shops were starting to close (see previous post on why) and decided to catch another movie, Batman Begins.... i don't know what to say bout that movie but it gave me a good picture of how batman became batman and how he started his bat cave, bat mobile, bat signal, how he met the good cop, who is the good lawyer, and who is his "technical scientist" man.... in other words how batman started hence "Batman Begins" hahhah... met luke too at his work place - sega fredos at bintang walk... looks abit different.. maybe it's his hair... *shrugs..

we also went to KLCC to watch Mr. and Mrs Smith.. i didn't know it was a comedy/action movie!!! though it had some "scenes" but it was all entertaining!!! hehehe.. nice to see Angelina Jolie on a "lighter" side... heheh.. she was awsome man!!! brad pitt... as usual he was cool....

ohh yea.. and i also tried Lecka Lecka in KLCC.. damn.. i didn't know it was expensive!! like Baskin and Robbins expensive... one scoop RM5.50..... i tried the mango one... and it seems its 99.9% fat free...

decided to go for the firefly trip with SEFA members... that will be on sat evening/night and hopefully will meet up with ah ma on sunday for some window shopping... then it's time to come back to penang...sob sob...

hope my baby will follow me back to penang...

in kl... disaster... -part2

sigh....

1) missed the bus to KL, had to buy another ticket
- it seems the busses that leave Sri Nibong bus station is punctual, shit man i was only 10 minutes late and the bus was gone.... so had to buy another ticket to get to KL...

2) laundry, forgot to wash
- gave my laundry for wash, thought it'd take 2 days but then because of the weekend, they didn't and FORGOT about my pile.... so had to wait for another day... AND... they didn't give me back one piece of clothing... sayang!!! i just bought it a month ago..!!

3) bag handle broke
- when i was hopping from house to house, carrying my bag, one handle broke.... so i had to carry the bag like a box up and down lrt trains.. it was so uncomfortable, heavy and with all that walking in the afternoon it was sooo hot!!! so now i'm just thinking of how to come back to pg with that bloody bag....

4) uncle sick
- wanted to stay at my godma's house for a few days but i couldn't cause my uncle wasn't too well, so only managed to stay for one night...

5) waiting
- my baby's bro and sis are also in KL and i had to wait for about 5 to 6 hours for them to get me to go out! why wait so long? cause they were SLEEPING!!!!! those who knows about my baby's sleeping habits will know that that disease runs in the family!!! so here i am waiting for them, wasting 6 hours during the day and by the time we are actually out, it's dinner time and where ever we wanted to go - CLOSED

7) documentation lost
- got a call from my friend in college saying that i got to get my doc from the coordinator to send it to the librarian for binding and have to hand in the binded doc on sat so that the college can send it to KL. this information was supposed to be on the website but there was nothing AND since i'm in kl, i asked my friend to get it done for me... alas... he couldn't find my 2 copies of documentation!!! DAMN!! started to panic, called my supervisor, it seems he has one copy and the coordinator has the other, so since my supervisor don't go to college, i can't get it from him, luckily when my friend was in college, the coordinator was there and he could get my copy from him. since i got to bind 2 copies, i had to ask my beloved cousin who's at home; simon to print another copy for me and hand it to the librarian...

so for the 7 days i've been here, 7 disasters happened.. i hope my next 3 days won't have any disasters.. all i want is to have a nice holiday with my baby.... sigh...

in kl... disaster...

my trip didn't really go to well... originally i went to KL to give my baby a surprise after his exam but when the time came, both of us found out that his bro and sis are coming down to KL... so now i'm contemplating to stay till the weekend for the fireflies and hang out with ah ma dugong, or just come back home....

in between, my laundry i sent to the shop didn't wash my clothes.. had to wait 3 days!!! sheesh... and also... the handle of my bag broke!!! now i got to carry it like a box using 2 hands!!! sheesh....

but then ok la... met up with girlfriends.. stayed up late talking... didn't go clubbing though... had no transport... but all is well.. it could have been better... sigh....

that's what u get when u don't PLAN your holiday!!!!! sigh....

more updates when i get the time to get infront of the pc.. now in godma's place.. dun want to hog her pc too long....

it's been 24 hours since my presentation and i'm off!!! i'm off to Kay eL!! hahaha.. yea... going there for bout a week or so..

got a few people i gotta meet... there's sharon, my cousins - andre, luke, audrey, david... then there's my best friend pauline.. then maybe i'll meet up with mel maureen....

there's also an outing organised by SEFA, a trip to watch the fireflies in selangor! can't wait for that... don't know where it is though.. but for RM50 (transportation, dinner and boat ride) i think it's reasonable... and i missed the first outing, the beach cleaning at Post Dickson... so this would be a chance for me to meet them...

also, gonna meet ah ma in KL too... go "window" shopping.. hehhehe... come to think of it, never hung out with the dugongs in KL before.. hmm.. this would be the first!!!! maybe not with ALL dugongs.. but with ah ma and ah kong, sure it's gonna be great!

my baby too will be having his holiday!!! at last will be able to see him!!

i better get packing!!! it's 1.30pm and i haven't packed yet!! and my bus is at 3.30pm!!! this time got to get the bus in Sri Nibong... will try to blog when i'm in KL.. find for a cyber cafe or something ;)

yea.. it's finally over.... when i posted the first post on my freedom... it didn't really sink in.... couldn't keep my eyes open... tried having a nap.. but couldn't really... but now just after dinner.. i'm feeling a lil bit better....

so the presentation or it is also called Viva... got up 10.15am.. grrr so early... and was in college by 11am... my turn was at 11.50am.. so i had time to set up the network in college... testing it over and over again just to make sure that it's working....

was waiting outside the board room where the presentation is being held... 15 minuts earlier... at this moment.. i'm nervous like hell.. i started to sweat eventhough there were nice breeze... and there were other students waiting there for their turn... all were walking up and down... talking with each other bout being nervous and don't know what questions the "judges" will ask... sigh..

so it's my turn.. i go in... plug in my thumb drive... open my powerpoint slides and start... then someone asked me a question bout the scope.. i was about to speak on that later.. so i had to skip slide to that part and answer the question.. then one came in late.. and asked a question on the difference between IPv4 and IPv6 header formats.. where i already talked about it.. but he didn't know because he came in late!!! make me panic only...

then when it came to the technical part.. they stopped me... they rather go see the network themselves.. so we all went to the lab... here i'm starting to sweat more.. it's so "hot" now.... i took a breath and started slowly.. explaining one by one.... not that they let me explain.. one asked another question.. and this time i really couldn't hear/understand him (he's foreign)... but it was all ok as it was just a comment he just made... my new supervisor put in some words too.. trying to make them understand that what i did was purely a set up and not a-ready-made-network... and that was it....

i asked my supervisor.. how did i do.. he said not to worry, i'll sure to pass... well i hope so too!!!! i'm sure he says that to everyone who's going for the Viva just to make us feel happy... but the truth will be told bout 2 months later when the results comes out...

sigh... so that's it... it's done for.. it's over... HABIS!!!!!

like ah ma said... i'm officially UN-EMPLOYED!!! hahahah... for now it's no big deal for me as i'm planning to be free until mid august.. only then i'll start finding a job..... why? tssk.. i got my plans... ;)

came downstairs to where my mum was waiting for me.. with big smile on her face... she said.. "HABIS!!?..." i said "HABIS..!!!" hahaha.. what a scene... went to have lunch and then was discussing with mum bout my trip to KL... and somehow with plans here and there, it seems to be a better plan to go tomorrow.. hahah.. so went to get Konsortium ticket and i'm due to go to KL at 3.30pm TOMORROW!!! this time got to take the bus from Sri Nibong.. the new bus terminal... after that came back home...

had my so called nap and here i am... blogging...

i know i know.. it's not the annual anniversary nor a 1/2 year anniversary.. it's just the date.. to be exact it's our 4 years 4 months anniversary...

we used to celebrate it every month during out 1st year... and then it slowed down as my baby wasn't coming down to see me often.. and 4 years has passed.. it's kinda hard to celebrate every month... just once a year would be enough.... just like a dugong couple who are a lil bit older than us, would agree... it's ok to celebrate annually but it's rediculus to celebrate monthly!!! POKAI LO!!!!! hehehe.... but somehow my baby and i would wish each other a happy anniversary...

like last night at midnite.. i called him... and when he answered "Yes?" i knew he was busy and that it wasn't a good time to chit chat.. so i just wished him and told him i loved him and just put down the phone... i hope that would give him abit of relief from working on his assignments and put a smile on his face... just like the first time we met online... i had put a smile on his face..

can't wait to see him.. gosh i miss him so much!!

i saw the CAR!!!

Saturday...

dad went cycling round the island and also for a durian feast... he went with his usual cycling buddies and at Balik Pulau, they had the all-u-can-eat-durian feast for RM5 per person... he came back to Green Lane after that...

i had two boxes... mum brought.. so was packing my things in it.. one was full of books.. most of it were text books.. and after filling that box.. i couldn't carry it!!! soo heavy!!! and another box were full of computer stuffs.. such as installation cds, boxes, cables and what not... sigh....

with dad's bicycle at the back of the car, only managed to bring back one box of mine... managed to get back home safe with such a load at the back.... heheheh.... i still have my clothes, PC and other stuff to bring home....

went to church with dad... and went for PIZZA HUT!!! i wanted to try the new Italian pizza... was skeptical bout it... but it was good!! not that great but good enough to call it "italian" pizza.. hehehe ordered the beef one but instead the chicken one came.. by the time i wanted to call the waitress and get it changed, my dad dug into it... sigh... its ok... the chicken one taste ok too...

Sunday...

lazed at home the whole day..... watching tv... not that there's anything nice on tv.... sheesh... weekend tv sucks man!!! the good shows only come on at 10pm!!!!!

went out for banana leaf lunch with dad and after that we went to see the new car!! MyVi!!!! i FINALLY saw that bloody car!!! and to my surprise!! i loved it!!! i did sit at the back seat and gosh!! there IS space!!! and i sat at the drivers seat... there IS also space!!!! then i saw the boot... 3/4 of the current satria boot that we have now.. so it's ok... good enough... i just fell for that car... the red one was LOVELY and the black one was slick!!! i think my dad has a feeling that i liked it but i doubt he'll trade in our satria for that... he's waiting for the new satria to come out... i guess he has a thing for satrias... (but it has only 2 DOORS!!!!)

dad went out cycling again... sheesh... yesterday he went round the island and now again?? but then what can i say.. at least he's out with some friends... so went out to get some dinner... wanted to indulge in some Secret Recipie cakes but stopped myself.. should jaga my eating habits.... sigh...

today....

out with mum... lunch... saw the heat of the car go up to "H"... started to panic... mum actually who was the one panicking... so we stopped for lunch to let the car cool down and after that, put some water in the car... it seems there were no water in the car!!! it was empty!!!!! gosh!! and i thought my dad did some repairs to the car a few days back.. i guess he missed looking into the water part... but it's all good now....

went to get some groceries like usual.... and also met some visitors from Australia over at the house in Green Lane... this uncle.. he's my aunty's ex-husband... he's here with his current wife... isn't that bizzare...!!! staying at your ex-in-laws place???with your current wife??!! anyway he's been coming here with his wife for some time already... it's something normal for us here... eurasians can be abit weird....

now in college... trying to get some work done... no news from my "source".. i think he has given up on my problem.. i don't blame him though.... sigh.... later there's a class in this lab, so gotta leave soon... hate it when this happens....

when that time comes...

hate it when that time comes.... everything goes haywire... u can't think straight, u can't walk straight cause your tummy hurts, u can't talk straight, u can't eat properly, u can't sleep well, u can't do anything... why must it happen every month?? grrr.. i hate it!!!

other than that... i got the car from mum... yeay!!! and i'll be going back home.. haven't been home for a while... hmm.... got to get back to get my "official" outfit for the presentation too... a collared blouse and a black skirt...

got the time table of my presentation... it's on the 8th and my turn is at 11.50 am... thank god it's not like 9.30 IN THE MORNING... but lunch time.. so its ok... i guess.. shrugs... getting very nervous... everynight in bed, i start to panic... i start to think of the 3 ppl that is gonna stare at me... if i stutter, if i forget what i'm supposed to say, if i can't answer my question or if everything gets screwed.... ggrrrr.....

i can say that i'm ok when it comes to public speaking... maybe for telling ppl what to do...heheheh... but not for ppl to judge me.... i guess the two is a total different thing... i used to organize my college dinner and dance... and i had no problem conducting meetings... infront of bout 10 people, inclusive lecturers... hahah even though i was fairly nervous for my speech on that night, it lasted for 2 mins or so... but this is a presentation... TO GET MARKS!!! for 20 long MINUTES!!!!! and that's a totally different thing!!!! aarrgggghhhhh...... how am i to get through this!!!

i really can respect ppl who can just go up to stage... and talk... talk and talk and talk..... i know they get used to it... but still i'm sure there's a tingling feeling of nervousness in them everytime they do that... sigh...

last night was superb! went for the Ah Kong's-so-called-farewell dinner at a BBQ/Steamboat place near the Gurney Drive roundabout!!.... (he's not like leaving for a long time... 10 days only!!)

i ate and ate and ate till i had stomach cramps..!!! and back ache too!! hahahah... Ah Ma had to share herself between us the dugongs and her work mates.. her department had a makan gathering at the same place...

was surprised to see Wannabe dugong as he had just shaved his head!!! totally shaved his head! found out that he went to an Indian barber to do it.. i guess old fashion indian barbers are best for cutting and shaving males... eheheh i think i said that wrongly... best for cutting mens hair and shaving mens beards.... that sounds better!! LOL.... and also... a new thing i learnt bout shaving heads... it HURTS!!!! yea!!! both male dugongs confirmed it with me that shaving heads hurts!!! wow... i'll definately won't do it then.. but then again, i NEVER even thought of shaving my head!!! hahahaha.... so yea! wannabe dugong.. u look nice with your head shaven!!!!

was raining late morning... was hoping that it'll continue so that i don't have to go to college... but then by the time i got up... it was hot! sun was out!!! ggrrr.... so got up, have lunch and went to college... i'm now writing this in college.... sigh.... damn lab has a class... so got to hang around the college for 2 bloody hours before i can get into the lab and try to get BIND working....

talk about BIND.. my source ... i have a feeling that he gave up on it... he sounded that way in his email.. i don't blame him too.... it's hard to get something that works on a UNIX based system to use on a Windows based system.... sigh....

got bout few more minutes till that class is over....

other than that... no plans for today....

got up late... feeling extra sleepy i don't know why.... by the time i got myself up and ready, had a call from Ah Kong... it seems the dugongs want to have dinner!! YAHOOOOOO!!! out from the house!!! HEHEHHEHE....

the phone call was interesting.. it was a conference between Ah Kong, Ah Ma, Aunty, Blur and myself...!!! heheh no one was talking but everyone was laughing!!! we didn't know what was so funny also... i guess it's because it's weird having so many ppl on the phone... this isn't the first time though.. but we seldom do it.... so anyway, we managed to calm down and got straight with some plans... BBQ Steamboat, IT IS!!!! hehehe....

since Ah Kong is coming to fetch me at 7pm... and counting the time of me getting ready to go to college, reach college, then got to leave college at 6pm because there's a class, and get back... wouldn't have time.. so.. decided not to go... maybe i'll get some afternoon sleep..... heheh...

and yea.. heard that 2 of our dugongs have/planning to have blogs!!! hahahah.. at first it was only me and Ah Ma... but then... the others saw how "in" having a blog is.. they too want to have!! hahahhaha...

to the 2 dugongs - i know la it's not the "in" thing.. but then interesting also isn't it???? heheheh..... DUGONG rules!!!!!!!

last day of MAY...

nothing marvelous bout the last day of MAY... just that... it's the MIDDLE of the YEAR already!!! so fast!!!! OMG...... it was just like last night that i was hanging out with the dugongs on New Years Eve where we didn't know what to do and didn't know where to go... and our beloved Wannabe Dugong was in the bathroom "the whole year"!!!!! ahhahah..... he went in the bathroom 31st Dec 2004, 11.58 pm and got out 1st Jan 2005, 12.03 am... heheheh... u thought what uh??? ;)

anyway... was in college... trying again to get somethings done... but couldn't... really shitty man.. why the hell did my supervisor asked me to have a server in the bloody network? all this IPv6 thing is UNIX based!!! and she wants me to use it in Windows based... mad!! and its not like she knows how to do what i'm doing.... sheesh.....

but so as long i pass my thesis (which the new supervisor said i would)... it'll be good enough...

btw.. does anyone know how to calculate CGPA? to calculate whether u have 2nd class upper or lower? just wanted to calculate my grades... i hope its good enough for a 2nd upper... sigh... just hope my thesis won't bring it down.... i'm now on a very thin fence.... i could fall either way....

PHEW!!!

i told myself to get up bout 10.30am to finish up printing the documentation.... so i managed to get up and in the bathroom i NEARLY put my face wash onto my toothbrush!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA.... luckily i realised it and put the cap back on and reached for the Colgate... i shook my head.. man i was sooo blur!!!!!

managed to finish printing my documentation... bout 87 pages!!!! mum fetch me and brought me to college to hand it up to the coordinator... what a relief!!!!

hahah my mum was more excited than i was!!! she was telling me to follow her home.. go to the tailor to make my dress for my cousin's wedding and stuff like that... but i can't.. as i still have some left over work to do.. remember... i still have that 10% part of the network that is not working? yea my supervisor told me to try to get that working by the 8th so that i can show that in my presentation and get more marks... i mean i'm not wanting to score and he DID tell me that i PASSED... but then again.. i've been in this for so long.. why not try to follow through right? even for an extra 5 marks or so.... so yea... will not be going home...

so went for banana leaf "celebration" lunch... this time we went to the one next to Francis.... food's ok, price ok too... nothing grand.... and went around town for a while....

i was contemplating to follow mum to see grandad or not.... heck... just follow.. cause i haven't seen him for quite some time... i think since Easter!!!! hahahah.... so when we reached there... luckily he still remembers me.. hahaha... knowing how bad is his Alzheimers Disease....

then after that... went back to college to try to get BIND to work..... sigh.. still couldn't....

almost there....

tomorrow is the day!!... the day to pass up my documentation!!!!

was home whole day doing it.... then had to take a break to go to church with mum.. it was quite a relief being able to get out from the house, see the outside and OTHER people!! hahah LOL...

so anyway, yea went to church... it was a long one as there was a procession after mass.... managed to follow through but towards the end i couldn't take it cause it was soo hot!! i was sweating like mad!!!!

then went for dinner with mum... we talked bout my cousins wedding in august.. both of us getting excited.. on who's coming, when the american people coming to see us in penang... how to bring granddad to KL for the wedding, where to stay in KL.. and stuff like that... mum was telling me that we had gotten the invitation card.. it's RED and its like a CHINESE wedding invitation card with at the bottom chinese characters... i mean, who in our family can read chinese? almost 70% of my cousin's family are caucasians!!! hahaha.. it seems my cousin like the chinese thingy about the good luck "8" (the wedding is on the 8th of August..), RED and in other words, chinese culture.. but luckily she's not going into the Tea Ceremony thing and have a cheongsam as her wedding dress!!! hahah.. poor Godma... she'll be heaving so much headache if that was in the agenda!!!! even now with the English way of wedding, also is giving her a headache!!

so that's about it for today.... back to documentation..... grrrrr

Star Wars madness!

was on Yahoo and MSN chat... yea i know i was supposed to be doing my documentation but had to have some company right?? nyeh nyeh....

so anyway... a friend of mine... he went to see Star Wars III on the first night it opened.... so lucky, he had a friend who was a Star Wars freak and got the tickets a week earlier.... fuhh.....

then was chatting with Rainer... he too half way through our chat he said he was going to watch Star Wars... not Episode III but all 6!!!! yes!!!! a Star Wars movie marathon!! (i knew there are people who are gonna do that...!!) gosh!!! don't know how he'll hold up... from Ep I, II, II to IV, V and VI...

let me see he started bout 6pm... estimate 2 hrs per movie, +- toilet, snacks, phone calls...

2 x 6 = 12 hrs
+
2 hrs (+- toilet, snacks, phone for the whole of the 6 movies)
= bout 14 hrs!!!! straight!!!

he'll be in a Star Wars daze... talk Star Wars, eat Star Wars, sleep Star Wars, shit Star Wars.. hahahahah......

didn't move from my seat since after lunch.... doing what??? well first checking mails, checking friendster, blogs... then started on documentation.... ggrrrrr..... read and read and read... edit, edit and edit..... now i'm sooo blur....

sometimes i read... i know i'm reading but my head's blank.. it's like it has become a firewall... u know it's there but it can't get in the head to process!!!! grrrr.....

at the moment, not downloading anything... cause... harddisk.. no more space!! hahahahah.. got bout 2.5G each for C and D... shall leave it as it is... don't want to slow my pc.. got to get more CDROMs to make backups so that i can clear some space!! hahaha.... so now.. surfing is like a breeze.... woopiiiiii... hahaha sometimes i don't know what to surf also.. hahahah... anyway, can't bother bout that, i got to get back to ggrrrrr...... documentation...... i think the number of times i read my documentation can produce bout 5 harry-potter-thick books man!!!! hahahha...

MyVi LAUNCHED!!!

the new Malaysian car; MyVi has been finally launched!!!! i saw the ad on tv yesterday, boy it was interesting!!! there was a group of ppl chasing after this car.. then it showed the car driving up the stairs, through buildings and walkways, driving backwards, side ways.. trying to get away from the rushing crowed... then like a robber running away from cops, all the possible roads or ways to escape is blocked by a very big group of ppl and in the end the car is surrounded by ppl... man that was impressive!!

check out their web site, cool too! everything is showed, specs, insides, outsides, colour and even u can send a request for a test drive! i filled that form.. see if they'll contact me for a test drive soon!! heehehehe can't wait to go to the showroom and see it for myself...

was walking to college early today... the new supervisor wanted to see me and my network... and was walking using the same route i've always use... pass the playground, to the back lane of a row of houses, through the flats, across the main road, pass the market and to college.... but this time it was different...

2 school girls were infront of me, one on a bicycle and another walking, also taking the same route, when we passed the playground and to the back alley.. there was this old indian guy (like 50+ years old) stopped his bike, got down and started peeing in the drain!!!! i think he was shocked to see girls walking through the back alley.. i guess he must have thought that the alley was secluded enough for him to pee... i mean it is secluded but u have no idea how many ppl walk through there esp old aunties who walks to market or to the coffee shops!!! he must have been embarressed, but then again, he didn't bother to cover his.... dick... with his shirt, or move abit so that we won't see "it".... sheesh... for that brief second that i saw, he like had his whole thing out!!! OMFG!!!! i just looked down and walked pass VERY QUICKLY!!!! feeling very grossed out...

i was thinking... if u want to pee in the open like that at 12.30 in the AFTERNOON mind u..!! at least just bring it out abit, do it fast and leave!! must u zip yourself all the way down and bring "everything" out just to pee? gross man!!! common.. can't u at least hold it, go to a coffee shop and use their loo? there's like 4 coffee shops just round the coner man!!!

grrr.... really grossed me out... luckily i had lunch before i came out.. if not i won't have appitite to eat... for the two years i've been walking that route.. it's the first that i came across this...

so met my new supervisor.. had no idea what i was doing.. so explained it to him... he was ok with it, said i'll pass but he hopes that that lil bit that is not working, works.... so that he could give me more points... that's a relief!! i thought i'd fail or something like that... showed him my documentation and guessed its ok.. he'll need to read it first thoroughly though... which means.. so far so good... now just have to touch up my documentation, try to get BIND going and that's it!!

its just soooo close!!!! its like i'm standing at a gate looking through the grills, and just waiting for that moment when i get the key to open the lock to go through that gate.... man.... what a feeling!!!!

shit.... came to college to get some work done.. but NOOOOO.... the bloody lab had a class... fine.. it ends at 5pm and can still do something... but NOOOOO... there's also another class at 6pm!!! how the hell u want your student to do her thesis when u don't give her the opportunity to do it??? shit bloody ass holes!!!

so here i am in ANOTHER lab... waiting for 5pm.. so that i can quickly try to get somethings done and split.... sheesh.... shouldn't have come to college today if i'd known earlier.... but then again how am i to get work done if i don't go to college... right?? and my thesis documentation is due on the 30th!!!!! crap man!!!

friendster server sucks.... tried adding some friends, but it came back saying my list is full... damn and i only have bout 100+ friends while some of my friends have 300+... so why is mine full? WTF!!!! and writing friendster blogs.. suck too... it takes too long to load the pages....

just felt like ranting today....

after watching Star Wars III, i just fell in love with Hayden Christensen!! he's such a babe in the movie, got that messy long hair look, the angry look, cool look, the way he walks, the way he kiss... and great body too!!.... was so glad that there was a peek at his 6 pacs!!! he's so hot!!!...

i can't imagine how much he has grown compared to Star Wars II, i guess maybe in that movie, they made him look like a young kid... not as hot as in Star Wars III... hehehhe...

been surfing on him, mostly for his pics... among all the pics i found, the ones from Star Wars III are the hottest... the other pics were from his other movies which made him look like an ordinary teenage "The O.C" and "One Tree Hill" type of guy...

i found out that he is MY age!!!! heheheh... so honoured!! and he was in The Virgin Suicides!!!! i didn't spot him in the movie, i think he was one of those young boys who were stalking the sisters... must watch it again and look out for Hayden.. heheh... he's much more popular in his other movie; A life of a House, On Higher Ground.. search in Google and u'll know...
