FRIDAY - afternoon

friday came at last!!!! Nooreen came to fetch me at my godma's hse at TTDI, went to take her "MC" and headed off to KL Sentral... there, we met Thi for lunch... didn't know where to meet or what to eat, we ended up at McDs (remember, we're on a budget)... it was nice that we're nearly there in getting the group together...
were keeping in touch with Pauline, HOPING that she'll meet us SOON!!! but while at it, we just go on with our original plans....
the museum was first on the list, but according to the so-called-map that we had, the Istana was a better place to go first... we managed to find the place.. though it was always on the other side of the road and had to find a way to make a U-turn back on the same road... it's not that easy in KL i tell u...
when we reached there, there was a tourist bus that was there too, so there were so many Japanese and whites there taking pics and "harrasing" the horses and guards.... we managed to take some pics trying not to have the other ppl in it... it's sort of the same "type" as the ones at Buckingham Palace (though i've never been there before)... ppl taking pics with the guard, horse and gate... hahahahah.. that sounded ... err.. sad...

somehow i find it fun.... having the girls with me doing weird things... we could EASILY go shopping in KL but NOOOooooo me and my very creative mind, wanted to do other things...

then, we headed to the museum, that too was abit tricky, finding the correct road to be on.. and again, the museum was on the opposite side of the road.. somehow... hehehehe... found it and it was drizzling!!! damn.. but not that heavy which is good....
entrance fee was RM2.... the first area was on the different types of races we have in Malaysia.... zzzz... then the lobby had an exhibition on Merdeka... of what the country went through.... so so la... then the 3rd part was on the different traditions of the different races here in Malaysia.. can say interesting, as i didn't know there was so many types of wayang kulit!!! even the chinese has their own!!!....
but what i wanted to see was the exhibition on weird animals, bones and such.... but we came to find out that the top floor was closed.. till January 2007!!! SAD MAN!!!! that was the reason i wanted to go there... but the damn floor was closed... sigh.....

while hanging out outside the museum.. didn't know what to do, we saw the Perak Man exhibition.. so why not... we went in and it was dark... they were trying to make it eerie for us... they showed on how the exploration was started and when and how they found the bones... how was it found and such... so so la....
then another part there was another exhibition on wreakages.... of things found in different ship wreakages... quite interesting.. especially when they exhibit something they didn't know what was it and put it as "unidentified find"... hahahhahaha... that was entertaining...
hmm... wonder if the museum in penang would be better...

still Pauline couldn't meet up with us... sad la u woman!... so the next stop was the KL tower... i remember the tower being near the pudu bus station.... but didn't know the "entrance" to the tower.. so we headed there and hoped there was some sign board... we managed to find it....
was surprised that there were so many cars.... and BUSES!!! omg.. the kids!!! managed to find some parking (hardly) and headed to the tower... there was an extreme outdoor ride... can't remember what's it called but 2 ppl sit in this ball and it's like a catapult... u'll be thrown off to air but it's stuck to like a rubber band.. which means u'll be going up and down, goining upside down... like a ball.... interesting.... Era.fm was there.. so there was quite a crowd.. and also on sat there will be a Thirst Party up the tower.. so lots of ppl are there preparing for it....
when we got to the counter, we saw it was RM20 per person.. the guy asked where we were from, we said PENANG... and he took our ICs.. for what i don't know.... in the end, we paid him RM10 each... how come? we also dunno hahahahah.......
there was a long line to the lifts... because of the kids.. their school trip.. i was like damn.... we went behind the line and the staff was sort of laughing at us.. they called us to the front and said that there was a different line for the kids!!! the maulation i tell u!!! hahahahah..... in no time we were up there!! sadly it was hazy... quite bad actually... but still managed la to see some familiar places... very fast we made a round.. or two.. hahahah

mighty woman holding the twin towers on her palm...

another one!!

this one better, she's holding it upright!!! so the strong la!!

the 3 mighty women!
after the tower, we decided to head back to Thi's sisters place in Brickfields.. to rest and get ready for the big makan.... i had a snack at the tower... a very $$ waffle... 3 bucks man!!! i can easily get one here in Megamall for RM1.20... sigh..... what to do... KL wat....
