Golden Triangle Restaurant @ Juru Auto-City

was home for the past week for christmas and chinchiew called up wanted to meet.. so great!! i had plans!! yeay! was about to go crazy staying home! LOL.. so he picked me up and headed to Auto-City...

we were driving around and just didn't know what to eat cause there was sooo many places to eat... since we were both hungry, we decided on something heavy... so we passed Golden Triangle... looks fancy and quiet...

my gutt told me that if the place was empty, the food is not actually too great... i didn't want to go there at first but thinking about lining up and waiting for a table at other outlets just put me off... so we went there.

place was ok, nicely decorated, waitresses were polite though they were foreigners..

we ordered Laotian and belachan friend rice, mango kerabu, cashewnut chicken and tofu... the mango and chicken was good.. but the rest was only so so... (pics below)... so if u want to try Loation food, here's the place though i can't promise u that it would be good la... :D

yes christmas came and gone, and the NEW year is coming... sigh... must i make a resolution? i can't even remember what i made for 2007... i guess getting my ride... which i'm still happy to have done it... he's my life...

plans for new years eve? well colleagues trying to plan something but it's all gonna be last minute cause no one wants to confirm things... but it's only gonna be dinner... then for countdown, they got plans... me leh? .... none... :(

so if ANYONE wants company for new years eve... PLEASE call me out!!! i need to be OUT!!

sigh... i sound do desperate.... hehhehe ...

i'm home... for the past week...

finally get to do some OT emails.. and update my posts.... i know i haven't been writing much... though this time with my long holidays it's not what i expected to be....

i expected a filled week at home and abit of traveling here and there... but what actually happened was that i was home 80% of the time... hahahah weird uh... i guess major reason is the big $... bloody move... if only i didn't move out, i would be able to go for my holiday!... sigh... sometimes i feel my AL was wasted... and i STILL haven't gone to the beach yet... still NO freaking tan!!

but no... it is NOT wasted... i did meet up with my 2 girls, BC and sharon, and i met up with my cousins for a surprise dinner with an aunty from aussie land... and i did meet up with CC - an old college mate... so.. it was not all that boring..

other than that... was home, doing emails, updating blog, getting fedup of FB (OMG.. noooooo), helping mum ice her gingerbread cookies and cakes, set up christmas tree and the last thing - clean my room... again!

u know... it's so weird, i've moved out from here 1 year ago and EVERY SINGLE TIME i come home, mum's asking me to clean my room.. hello..... i dun live in my room, what is there to clear.... but i know what she means, she meant my 'rubbish' that i can't seem to get rid off... all that lil stuff, sentimental stuff that i "might" use in future... hahahaha... looks like i got my grandfather's disease!!! of keeping "rubbish" !!!

oh well.... that's the last thing i got to do... and i got to do it tomorrow...!!! eeeee

tomorrow evening, i'll be helping my mum's place of work - restaurant, to wait on tables, just for a few hrs... it's christmas eve and they're expecting a big crowd and they need some extra hands... so since my xmas eve is very dull, i'll do this, and go for mass in the morning...

i'll be going back to kl on the 26th with another set of big move to my place... some drawers and stuff i'm flicking off from this house to KL.. hehehe.... so, really hope that someone could help me bring those stuff up 4 floors.....with NO lift what-so-ever!

when i got home, it was a very emotional time for me... of all the shit and pressure kl PEOPLE are doing to me, i was sooo bloody happy that i was home....thanks to someone who was there with me to see/hear me whail away with tears... i felt much better after that... just needed to let go...

why are kl PEOPLE soooo freaking different from here? and i think the reason ppl dun really like kl is because of the PEOPLE that's there.... or HOW the ppl there has changed and become into someone who they aren't... i really hope i won't be like them... and i told myself that i'll come back home as often as i can to be back to my roots AND be the person that i really am....

i still haven't changed my mind about KL, i'm giving KL another chance... it's just that the ppl are making me sick... maybe i'm mixing with the wrong crowd? i dunno... i'm still expanding my "horizons"... and dun talk to me about the guys (for relationship) there... they're some-what useless... (as far as i know la)

you like them, they have no freaking idea that you do, you like them, they go get a new gf eventhough they had feelings for you before, you try to help and keep them company, they just dun get it and push you off... the only thing that works is that if u ignore them, they're REALLY ignore you.... sigh...

i just hope the new year brings me better luck in that part of my life... maybe i should look into fengshui? hmm.....

My cuppacakes! - part 2

ok, i've became a CuppaCake addict!! damn!! gotta stop, if not, sure become more broke!...

anyway, here are my orders for Christmas and for bday gift for 2 of my best buds... i just love the christmas ones..... should have ordered more eh? heheheheh

it's been a week since i got em, they're still in the fridge and is still fresh.. yes, i still have a few though it was hard to get some HANDS off them!!

when i went to the house to pic up my order, they had their Extra Boxes where they make extra and just left to be sold on their rack... so... since i was feeling itchy, i took a box... this theme was the Aloha theme.... they're the mini cupcakes... cute eh?

and here's the Royal9.... theme? Secret Garden... i just so love this theme... just imagine if i got em in the bigger boxes... u know, the Secret Garden theme, u can actually give them your fav colours and they'll follow it using the Secret Garden design.... cool!!! i didn't choose these colours but it's wonderful anyway!!

Company Annual Dinner - Cultural Night

finally, my company organised an annual dinner, just one month ago.. it seemed the big fella forgot all about it... so the main organisers started to panic and called for some urgent help in organising the dinner. noreen and moi volunteered and it was some experience...

it was held at Crown Princes.. haven't been there before and i got a shock when i reached there early friday to help set up the hall.. the hall was HUGE i tell you!!! omg.... i don't think hotels in penang have this such large hall...

the hotel prep was ok.. nice setting, formal, sweet... couldn't help to take some pics...

here's our set of deco... the theme was cultural night... sorry but i didn't have any cultural costume on....

so since i was in the organising team, and didn't really have much to do though i did say alot at the meetings, i sat at the reception table to take down the attendance of the ppl coming in for the dinner... luckily i had some help as ppl tend to come in HUGE groups and i couldn't handle them... especially when i couldn't find their names in the list and don't really know them...

food was ok.. though it was cold and i didn't have much to eat, was busy taking pics and the only thing i didn't get to try was the desert... :(

the night was ok, though very tiring, it was good that the night turned out ok... wonder what's happening next year...

MY cuppacakes! - part 1

i first kinda heard about CuppaCakes from KinkyBlueFairy... i wasn't too bothered about it as i was back home at that time... i knew it was only available in KL, couldn't get it in Penang, so what the heck...

then rosie dugong managed to get some for herself... and then i remembered that now that i'm in KL, i could have some for myself!!!!

so finally found the details on how to get some for myself.... hehehe.... finally one day, as the x was around, i made us go all the way to The Curve to The Appartment to get my first batch of cuppacakes.... the sight of it just made me smile.. it made me excited like how it was the first time meeting someone i didn't know, but knew in a way.... heheheh

managed to find The Apartment @ The Curve and it was a nicely decorated restaurant... wasn't too interested in the menu cause all i was looking for was the cupcakes! LOL... (sad i tell u hahahha feel so pathetic going crazy over these cupcakes)...

then i finally found them! all nicely sitting on 4 cake trays with different flavours and designs... yummy... wished i could have all of em...(greedy!) hahahha....

so i got 4 for myself... nyeh nyeh nyeh... and they were LOVELY!

as i went back to the office telling my colleagues about these cuppacakes, MakanKing just potong my stim la i tell u!! he just said, the cake itself just taste like any other butter cupcake and the whole hoo haa is the design.. well... i disagree with u MakanKing... i feel the cake IS nice and wonderful and the design and icing just compliments it! there!

so after afew weeks, i saw in their blog that they having Extra Boxes, where they make extra cupcakes and you can purchase them without making any orders.... i jumped to that offers and went all the way out to Damansara to get some again, dun worry, this time i SHARED with some ppl ok! i didn't eat ALL by myself! hahahha.... and now Daisy is a fan... and the x as well!! LOL

housemate aka Daisy

as i mentioned in my prev post on my move from Gombak to Wangsa Maju, here's a lil info of my housemate - Daisy...

Daisy is a lil bit older than me.... she's a sabahan... AND single... she works in a call centre too in the Petronas Twin Towers for Petronas... she's a catholic which is a good thing for me.. heheh it's always good to have a catholic housemate (or a housemate who is the same religion as you)...

before i moved in with her, we hung out a few times and we kinda clicked very easily... guess because we're both gila-gila type.. likes to talk cock and nonsense and maybe it's because we just needed company...

we went for a movie once and here's a random pic we took of ourselves in McD.... hahahah

this is what i like about her, just being crazy and wacky and not bothered on what other ppl say about her behaviour.... :)

she trying to help me set up my 'portable' cupboard... eventually she figured it out - me, i had no idea! hahahah

she loves to travel (she was a tourist guide and was with MAS before) thus, she's gonne be my traveling buddy.. 1st trip - was to the tourist-see thingy at The Eye ON Malaysia...

compared to me, she's not so much of a neat freak than me... also, she loves animals, especially cats.. she has 4 cats... and she cries when she sees stray cats suffering in the open.... aawww...

so it's only been about 2 weeks since i stayed with her, i'm back in BM for about a week.. and when i get home, she won't be around - back in Sabah.... we'll see how 2008 treats the both of us....

good to have known you Daisy and a toast to our friendship ya.... hos over bros!!
