Nasi Beratur, Penang

Nasi Beratur in Penang. it's located right next to the Masjid Kapitan Keling in the heart of Georgetown, walking distance from Khoo Kongsi and the Anglican church and lots of jewellry shops. this place as I know it, is Nasi Ganja - why? cause it's soooo addictive that you would want 2nd round or to come back again the next day.
funnily, i only been there once and pics of this post is my 2nd time visiting it. don't know but i seldom come to this corner of the island, hence seldom cari makan here.
what's unique of this place is that this place sort of opens 24hrs BUT!! (yes, a big BUT here) the favourites are to be sold at 10pm onwards - hence the "Dibuka pada pukul 10 pm" sign. i was told that the cooks are different round the clock and the best and most fav cook (the food's better) is for the 10pm shift... THAT is why u see the long, long, long line!!

the trick to get a place, is to come very early, maybe 8.30pm onwards. place your order of wat u want, have a seat and wait till 10pm, then u'll get your food straight away at 10pm. once the tables/seats are full, that's when u start lining up... it's a cleverly planned out thingy, cause when u line up for your food and by the time u reach your turn and get your plate of rice, the people who sat at the table earlier, would have already left! see... so u don't actually have to wait around the tables holding your plate of rice.. like a dunggu... so yeah!!
Nasi Beratur, the name fits the place and people do come from all over Malaysia (or the world for that matter) just to come and have a taste of that wonderful nasi kandar that PENANG is famous for!! heheheh.....
wonder if HoChiak and Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan been there before or not.. hmm...
