RESUME = HEADACHE
eerrgghhh....
been trying to write my resume... don't know which format to follow... some are telling this others telling me that.... sigh...
looks like i'm gonna write afew and see which one is better.... still haven't heard from my references if they agree to be my references.... sigh....
and also the CV letter... what am i to write about? ggrrr... headache!!!

Maybe you should visit give jobstreet a visit. It may help :)
Keep your CV very simple and straight to the point/skills (bullet point would be good). No fancy fonts or borders. It shouldn't be more than 3 pages. Also, don't leave any gap between each jobs (well for you will be between each courses) so if you work in supermarket, etc, mention that as well.
As for the covering letter, it's just basically written out based on the job you applying for. Just say you would like to apply for job X, reference number ###. I usually say why I would/fit in that job (your skills according to the job description) and please find CV attached.
Because you would be submitting your CV, don't list everything in that covering letter, which is usually just 1 page. I normally end it asking them to also consider me for any future/different jobs available. If you want, you can have a sample of my old copy although not sure how different it is of British format CVs compared to Malaysian CVs.

basically i've got it covered but its the details i'm worried...
like some said i shouldn't put petty jobs (supermarket type) of jobs in my resume... so.. i'm like confused...
and what about my certs.. i mean should i put in my subjects and grades for all in the resume too? UPSR, PMR..etc (until degree)?
yea u could email me your old resume.... so that i can have a general idea of a resume that has been used and not "sample" resumes on the net... ;)
No, only put your SPM & STPM and major college/uni exams results. Subjects and the grades. Like mine, I have to convert my grades to British UCAS standards for my SPM (GCSEs equivalent).
Well over here, you shouldn't leave any gaps. Like when I wasn't working for over a year, I have to give a good reason why. It is just so that they don't think you are a bum/lazy I think. :)
