do u know?

these are for the new graduates out there who just graduated like me...

when u graduate.. do u KNOW exactly what u like to do, what u want to do, what u can or cannot do for a job?

for me... no.. not really... yes i graduated in computer studies... but all i have studied were basic programming, abit of management, abit of this, abit of that... and it's ALL theory... so, what EXACTLY i want/can/like to do.... that's a hard question for me to answer....

yes i majored in networking... but to be IN a networking environment, manning an ACTUAL network, have probs or have meetings on what/where/how to solve networking problems, i have never done that....

i did do programming for assignments, those were really basic basic type of programming and that also i had to get help from ppl and my programs are never 100% working...

then there's the management part of coming up with a system.... all in theory.. no hands-on...

so basically, i don't have a clue what i enjoy best from what i learnt.. cause i didn't have any freaking experience or training or handson!!

is it really THAT bad not knowing what exactly u like/can do? is it bad trying out first before knowing what exactly i can or cannot do? sigh.....

the joys of finding the right/good job....

Well, exactly. That is what most fresh grads are facing. Perhaps, colleges/universities must provide more practical studies and an internship with companies related before they graduate. This is what lack in most graduates.

I knew some of the colleges/universities already have the internship programme. But those students who are not in that kind of college, we will be just like a plank of wood which has not been processed.

But, no matter how, you will have to make your decision and go for it. Don't be confused of what to do. Just follow your interest and see your stand. If you don't have enough skills, go for certification. That is what I have been told so many times by friends and elderly people.

Good luck. I myself also still finding jobs. haha Very hard.
