an outing

so i have the weekend off.... no plans... which is good... did some banking and cut my hair... then i decided to hang out... called out my good buddy from college.. he said OK (in his cheerie voice) !!! and he came to fetch me at bout 9.30.. which is quite late but ... hey! i'm not working tomorrow!! so no problemo!!

were supposed to meet for dinner but in the end it was supper.... and mind you.. this is 1st supper... sure to have a second later... didn't know where to go..

F: where ah?

C: dunno ah... where ah?

F: how's our budget?

C: can la... but tight abit

F: wanna go penang?

C: OK (in his cheerie voice again)

so we went.... wanted to bring him to Subway... but since both of us is on a budget... we'll go there another day....

C: so where?

F: dunno la....

F: come i show you where my grandma's place...

so in the end we drove pass by showing him my grandma's place at LeNid in Green Lane... and after that he was trying to find his barrings around that area...

C: so where want to eat?

F: thinking la.. wait la....

so we finally decided on Tari Cafe... (can't really bring him to chinese place cause, he consider himself malay so... must find halal food...) but then... no parking... sigh.... wanted to make a u-turn to park on the opposite side of the road but in the end... i decided to try Tulang Corner... just nearby Tari.... haven't been there before... so okla.. we try...

foods fine, normal malay food with ikan bakar... i chose pari bakar but the fish was either OLD or not fresh... the flesh was abit rubbery.... hung out there... chatted alot... then the shop was closing... that was 11+pm....

so we decided to drive around penang... he wanted to have something (see.. what i tell you... 2nd supper) in Gurney Drive hawker but when we got there... there were so many ppl and NO parking... so he changed his mind.. he doesn't like crowds... then we drove around the esplanade... penang road...

F: you got mat ah?

C: why?

F: wanna hang out by the beach?

C: OK!.. but where?

F: i show you...

we went to the famous hangout beach in penang... very packed with ppl... Crown Prince Hotel beach... managed to find parking and went there.. no mat.. i was thinking.. how la to sit on the sand.. new jeans u know! then while walking on the beach telling him this was a happening beach and as he can see there were so many ppl BBQ-ing there and hanging out....

then i suddenly hear someone calling someone bekky!! i thought.. that's Sharon's sister.... i was trying to find Sharon... then i heard Sharon's laughter... i knew it was her..

F: MISS SHARON JOANNE!!!

Sharon: scared.. looking in the dark at me...

F: SHARON JOANNE!!!

Sharon: FIONAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

she was so happy to see me.... it seems it was Benny's birthday and the gang was there... in the end he and me hung out with them... i had my "drink" which is good cause i was thinking of getting one earlier... and caught up with Sharon.... loads to talk man.. she was pissed drunk and when u're one... u tend to be extra emotional and talkative.. hahahah...

Sharon: hey C, what are YOU doing here with fi?

F: saja la..... nothing to do, dunno where to go....

Sharon: ooohhhh...... *blur blur*

we were on the beach till 2 something... till they decided too many ppl were drunk and it was time to go back... so we all went back... BUT!! our friend here still wanted to have that 2nd supper so we ended in Pelita for nasi kandar.... how la to loose weight like this? 3am makan rice!!!

by the time i reach home it was nearly 5am.... muahahah... it's been a while since i stayed out late.... i'm so glad i met sharon....
