so how was your merdeka this year? not very the happening uh? well not that i know off la.. haha as i said i was at work.. so... *shrugs*

the farewell dinner for the only thorn among the roses was ok. lots of laughs espeacially hearing about what happens in the other dept... so the farney la.. it's sad to know that one of us who has been around for more than a year will be leaving... though we may not know him that well, we do get along in a certain way.... but what can we do.. it's life, we got to move on.... we wish him well and wish him good luck

we went to Secret Recipe, we had set dinners... i had BBQ chic.. (as always), boss had Tom Yam soup (as always), the two other roses had lasagne and the guest of honour had spaghetti.... the set included the main meal + ice lemon tea (or soft drink) + brownie... i thought it was the brownie that they were selling... but NOOO it was the cheapsake type!! what a rip off.... it costs RM18++.... sigh.... as always everyone was happy with their food.. hahahaha we always go to great places for food!!

it was so crowded at e-Gate but of course, it was Merdeka eve. the clubs at the other end of the block had a thing going with over sized blown up balloons and tents outside the club with loud thomping (and pumping) music. at least we managed to get a place inside and we could hear ourselves.

parking.. OMG parking.... it's horrible!! ppl were double parking on BOTH sides of the road... AT the road heading towards the parking ticket booth.. so.. ppl can't go in to park and also can't come out from parking!!! we managed to get a ticket and get in and while doing that the guy was shouting no parking no parking.. but HELLO!!! so many cars lining up to get out!! so there IS parking... so.. dun care.. we just went in ignoring him and just went around.. took our chances and went to the basement... no parking.... but on the way out i saw one very spacious and nice parking lot... thought it was for bikes.. but i saw the parking lines for a car... so it WAS A PARKING LOT!!! hhahahha never felt so happy finding a lot.. hahah maybe because we were LATE (sorry guys!) and it was raining heavily... didn't want to walk in the rain... and we managed to get a freaking PARKING LOT!!! hahahaha (i sound so pathetic!)

by the time we were done... it was 10 something... we were all tired.. the next day (which was merdeka) we had to work...... sigh.... sad ppl... no life ppl... working on a public holiday....
