cyber the jaya
so this was my second interview....
i've been going to interviews and tests in the company i work with so many times, that i don't even feel the pressure... but then again, no matter how many times or how comfortable u can get in an interview at the same company, u're sure to be nervous when the time comes...
anyway, i got this call from a company in cyber the jaya.... and i thought.. hey.. why not! maybe this will be my chance to leave home...
so i managed to find the place... OMG!!!!! cyberjaya is freaking huge... and empty.. hahha yea... when i saw the place... it was like from a sci-fi movie.. where the land is vast and far... there's only grass and trees scattered here and there.. then there's HUGE buildings... one here one there... and roads just like the country roads... traffic lights are a few, and NO TRAFFIC JAMS!!! well i wouldn't know for sure cause i was there at 2pm.... and i saw ppl walking around, like it wasn't HOT *rolls the eyes* (i'm sure they were cursing about the heat) and like as if they were in a park!! how nice is that uh?
hmm... let me see... there's TM hq, Sony-Ericsson hq, Shell hq and the ever so famous HSBC Call Centre.... and these buildings are not just your average big building type... they're HUGE!!!! as huge as Mid Valley Megamall.. and maybe BIGGER!!! damn!!! and don't get me started about Lim Kok Wing.... i was invited to go in and have a look at the uni but i was intimedated by the huge-ness, the grand-ness and the wow-ness of that place, so i didn't go in........ (and now i regret...)
ok ok.. back to the interview... so we were driving, reached Cyberview Lodge and purposely went in there to ask for directions (well i did know that the place was just 5 mins away, but what the heck)... so i went in there and fuhh.... it's like a resort-spa-like place (though IT IS called Cyberview Lodge and Spa...) i'm sure it's like above 5 star type....
then managed to find this place.. at the first glance u will think it's like a cheaper type of hotel with 2 floor blocks.. like a resort type... but then it's actually office lots... u can see trees and palm trees swaying around the buildings, with water fountains, ponds... sigh... just imagine working in that environment.....
the co. is a small company, though it's based in the US... about 100 ppl working there... the boss who interviewed me was nice.. very casual... he started off with where i could stay, what transport i could take to work, like as if i got the job.. hahahah.. actually i did.... but after doing some thinking, i won't take the job... weighing the weight between this current job and that, it's about the same, same basic, same ot, same working hrs (but actually the other job it's fixed - 40hrs per week, here i'm working absolutely more than that) but the difference is that if i took that job, i would have to move out, pay for room AND travelling AND food and i can't save as much as i can save here... which means, getting the car would be further away.... so i guess i got to let this one go.... until another one comes along, with a definate higher basic.....
but the experience is good, i wished all interviews would be like that... ahhahaah i was practically making the boss laugh (without me knowing i was, of course...)
so, everything's fine, i still got my job and it's another excuse to take leave (and loose 1 hr of OT) and go to KL.....
:)
